The Garden District foodie tour was a good experience! Our guide, Mark, was knowledgeable and fun! If you are a fan of the show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, this is the tour for you! ( I believe Mark was a consultant on one episode.). Mark also gave us a ton of recommendations for where to eat in NOLA.
We loved the food tour with Mark. He is a great guide who is knowledgeable about the city and it’s food. We got to try food that we wouldn’t have ordered if it wasn’t on the tour because it didn’t fit our notion of “classic New Orleans food.” My wife is vegetarian, and it was great to have a tour that could accommodate her dietary needs, and with tasty food to boot. We also appreciated that Mark gives out his phone number so that you can text with questions after the tour.
Wonderful tour. Mark is very knowledgeable and chose a great variety of stops. Seemed like a proud and personal tour of his city
The food was delicious everywhere we stopped, the guide did a great job explaining the changes in the food over the years as new cultures have influenced them, really enjoyed it
First of all, our guide Tylynn was wonderful. We received answered all our questions in addition to guiding us through each course at the different restaurant. The portions at each restaurant was perfect so you are not overwhelmed by too much food. Enjoy the walk, the food and the history.
