Dry, boring, hard to hear. These tours are so dependent on the guide you get. Ours was not enthusiastic or engaging and did not tell very memorable or interesting stories. She covered the history of New Orleans in general for about half of the tour while we stood on the sidewalk, then we started walking around the French Quarter. She pointed out a few interesting things in the quarter but we were zoned out by then.

Robin our tour guide was spectacular. Her knowledge of the history of New Orleans and the French Quarters was impressive. Robin all our questions and went out of her way to make the French Quarters come alive.

Dane was our tour guide and he did an amazing job! Talk about knowing New Orleans and history. So cool to learn all the little tidbits and lore he told us. He gave us some restaurant recommendations and other suggestions for while we were visiting. An excellent tour and one I recommend.

Our walking French Quarter tour was an essential part of our trip. Omar was an excellent guide who delivered just the right amount of history with just the right amount of energy. He kept us all engaged, made us all feel comfortable to ask questions and maintained a perfect pace as we moved through each point of interest. My two boys left the tour with a deeper appreciation of the cities history and found it very interesting. Cajun Encounters is a great tour company and Omar was terrific.

I looked forward to my walking tour for Feb 7th and was sent a check-in notification prior to the meet-up. I was a bit taken back when I arrived at the store front, that 1) I was the only participant, 2) The tour guide was not there. Scrambling to reach him by phone, ( to no avail ) the representative called her supervisor. Trying to interest me in an alternative tour, which I declined, they said they would send a refund. Never an apology for disrupting precious travel time. I resented having to call today and ask "Where is the refund?" This company has some lessons to learn regarding customer service!

Instead of Black Friday Shopping, I decided to take my parents out to this walking tour. Robin gave us an amazing experience. She was very informative, and we learned a lot about the history of New Orleans. Moon Walk, French Market, Steam Boat, Omni Hotel, Church, etc. Nice weather, nice group of people, and awesome tour guide Robin! We didn't stay long in New Orleans for Part 2 - Garden Tour, but we will definitely come back for that.
