Perfect event to do. Our guide was engaging and well informed and most importantly, entertaining! I loved that he was able to show photos of the places from the past, or even modern events.

At the start of the tour, the guide was not prepared. He didn't have charged emf detectors for each group so we all had to share. He did not seem like he knew what to say and just started talking about movies. He lost over half of the group along the way because they were not impressed. He left our group halfway through the tour to go in a building and use the restroom and then ended the tour in a different location than specified and just walked away. It was more movie trivia than ghost hunting. 0 out of 10.

I went with my family when we were down in New Orleans for the holidays, and I could not have been happier we booked this tour/guide. Oliver was such a great tour guide, probably the best I’ve ever had. He was very knowledgeable and kind, and answered all of our questions with no problem! He took us to many locations and explained the history and ghost experiences behind each. Oliver was so great throughout the entire thing, and he made me feel like an old, knowledgeable friend was showing us around New Orleans. We passed several other guided tours while we were walking around, and none of them compared. If you are considering doing a tour, please do choose this one!!

The scheduling and organization of the tour was abysmal with repeated problems. First, the organizer told the guide I was attending a tour a week earlier than my purchased ticket stated. The guide tried calling me repeatedly to ask about “missing” the tour. After 3 phone calls, the organizer had me send him a copy of my ticket because apparently he had no record and didn’t know I was a party of one. Second, on the day of my 7pm tour, I get a text from the organizer that my tour was moved to 9pm without explanation or apology. I texted back asking to attend the 7pm tour the next day and he replied “Yes.” Third, I show up at the meeting site 15 minutes early and call and text the organizer and guide that I was there. The guide calls me profusely apologizing and said that he was not informed he was leading a tour that night. I waited nearly an hour for him to arrive to give me a tour. Notably, the organizer never responded, much less apologize. The guide was earnest and sincere in his apology and overall well meaning. Nonetheless, I learned much more about the ghosts of the French Quarter in a 15 minute Youtube video than I did on the 2 hour tour. At the end, the guide said he would speak with his boss to inquire about a refund or something to compensate for the poor customer experience. I never heard anything back. During our ghost tour, we passed by numerous other ghost tours, including one that was free with an optional donation to the guide at the end of the tour. I regret that I didn’t sign up with another tour…

We took this tour with Kathrine (or Kathleen, I'm not great with names) :) She was a great guide, knowledgeable and put the story of the French Quarter together very nicely. It kept our interest and provided a little more insight into good and bad of the French Quarter. Highly recommend!
