Had a great time! Can't recommend enough as an amazing day discovering the foods and drinks of Lisbon. Great source of information about the history of the city as well as where to grab some of the best food.

An exquisite food tour, led by Thomas , that hit on multiple historical stops in Lisbon, while focusing on fantastic food! He made us feel at home right from the start, asking if there was any food we really wanted to focus on ... and since I love desserts, that was his goal to make happen. We began with Portugese donuts , then Thomas led us to Chapito a Mesa for ridiculously good garlic clams, bacalhau, croquettes and chorizo with a great view overlooking the bay. Headed down the hill to munch on Mozambique chicken and minced beef samosas. Took a break eating bifana at a cool little restaurant with peri peri sauce, then sauntered down to a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant for grilled sardines --- a seafood favorite. Passed by a Ginja stand, which we drank down with a nice little chocolate cup. Ended the tour by walking to the bay to get some Portugese custards at Pastéis de Belém, and taste-tested them against natas at Manteigaria in Time Out Market --- if you are a dessert junkie, pretty hard to beat.

Thomas was a fantastic guide with lots of personality! He’s very personable and made us feel like we were just out with a friend. This made the experience very comfortable and relaxed! He provided some historical background at every stop as well as locations along the way. He creates a very personalized experience by focusing on what you like and what you want to try. He’s very willing to edit his route for each tour based on dietary restrictions and general food preferences. He does this all while keeping the core of the tour and exposing you to Portuguese dishes and food that is special to him. I can’t recommend this tour enough!!!!

We could not have asked for a better tour! This was by far the best way to enjoy all aspects of Lisbon. Our tour guide was Thomas, and let me tell you, he is THE BEST. Make sure to ask for him. His knowledge of the city, its history, the cuisine and the culture is far above and beyond what we were expecting. He seriously impressed us and he makes the entire experience so fun. He even mapped it so that you start from the highest point of city and slowly descend, so it's very doable for folks of all ages. Plus the value is unparalleled. This is a steal for the amount of food, history and site seeing you get. The bottom line is that this was the standout event of the trip and we have Thomas to thank for making it an unforgettable day. I HIGHLY recommend this!

The Picta Travel food tour is unparalleled. It's a bespoke experience that includes fascinating historical facts about Lisbon as you eat your way through the city at spots that offer delicious, authentic Portuguese food. Thomas, our guide, was friendly, warm and his love and knowledge of Lisbon was infectious. I would highly recommend this tour if you are looking to eat extremely well, have a blast and learn a little bit about Lisbon, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

What a fabulous way to start our vacation in Lisbon! Our guide, Thomas, met us at a quaint cafe to kick off our day. We got to know each other quickly, breaking the ice with, “Where are you from? What do you do? Do you have any food allergies?” That sort of thing. From there the walk began. Thomas told us about the people, the places, the foods, the drinks, and the history of Lisbon. We went to a variety of restaurants for food and drink from fancy to street foods. Everything we had was delicious. Similar to a progressive dinner, it was like a six course walking tour. Thomas knew we had our mother with us and planned the trip with her comfort and safety in mind. Thomas sprinkled in suggestions for what else we needed to see and do while in Lisbon. By the time the tour ended, we felt like we had been visiting with a dear friend.

Our group of 6 had an early arrival and wanted to explore the area and food/drink. Thomas took our group all around and shared local information and history. The clams, tin fish and ginja were so delicious!
