Miguel is an excellent guide! It was easy for us to speak with him about Fuerte, an island he's fond of. His prepared tour around the south of the island was pleasing and astonishing for our group. Thank you again for the best day of our trip in Fuerteventura!

Miguel is an exceptional guide. He made my day. I was looking for a guided tour in Cofete and Jandía Peninsula but didn't want a crowded, fast pace safari kind of. I'm so happy to have chosen "his way". He always works with small group, bringing people through secluded places, and he knows his Land (and how to change plan if needed) and he gave us a lot of good suggestions for visiting Fuerte. He works w Small groups. Today was just 4 of us, Miguel included, and I really had beautiful time cause we definitely were all on the same page, including the capacity to walk enjoying the silence in some moment and still have a good laugh together. I would definitely recommend it and Iwill be joining his tours next time again. Muchas Gracias Miguel. Tu manera es preciosa

Exhilarating, challenging yet safe, ecologically minded, life-affirming experience par excellence!. You'll gasp repeatedly at the awe-inspiring sights that will grace you throughout a full, unhurried day in the safe, knowledgeable, kind, calm and considered company of the experienced multilingual mountain trekker Miguel Martinez. Delicious picnic, like-minded nature loving multinational participants. An absolute joy to be part of. Many thanks.

This was one of the best trips I booked, walking and admiring some amazing sites, picture postcard views. Our guide Miguel was excellent, nothing seemed too much for him and we learned so much about the places we walked. The beach at cofete was probably one of the best, pristine and beautiful. I highly recommend this trip if you love trekking. Despite the temperature it was manageable and Miguel ensured we had everything we needed.

If you feel like hiking, you should definitely visit this tour. It was really worth seeing and exciting. Miguel was a great guide! He is a really nice dude. He was so sweet, he brought us a small lunch package and also prepared a picnic for us. All in all, we were grateful for this experience.

We wanted to travel to Cofete but didn’t like the reviews left by others on the 4x4 trips. We were also interested in hiking in the region and seeing the place. We found Mahan trekking and booked the Cofete active tour. Miguel picked us up early from our hotel and we headed south to the Punta de Jandia lighthouse. We continued our drive to the southwest end of the peninsula of Jandia and Punta Pecebre where we started our first hike. A stunning 6km walk across a clifftop overlooking the west coast After a quick coffee at el Puertito we headed across a most magnificent pass to Cofete. First stop was the mysterious Casta Winter and then to the start of our second hike a remote hike down a dried river bed to a beautiful beach. Our guide had prepared a picnic of local cheeses & chorizo with bread and an energy bar which was just perfect. We returned to our hotel at 6 pm after a full and most enjoyable day. Miguel is the perfect host and guide. He is very helpful, full of local knowledge, and passionate about his work and the local area. He provided everything including maps, hiking poles, and a rucksack/water. I would highly recommend Miguel and Mahan Trekking if you want to see and experience the real Fuerteventura.

The day took place in two stages. First, halfway between the viewpoint and Cofete beach, we descended into a small gorge to reach the beach and walk to Roque del Moro. Secondly, at the end of the peninsula, we followed a path to discover Caleta de la Madera and Punta Junquillo from above. These two walks of 5 to 6 km are well within everyone's reach. Miguel's always relevant comments on the flora, geology and history of the place added more to this magnificent day when we were alone in the world. Thanks again to Miguel and our two Spanish-Colombian companions! Peter and Catherine
