Full Day Guided Tour of Teide by Cabrio Bus

Amazing trip. Highly recommended. Great tour guide Klaus. Wear sun cream. Ask about the cable car and you can book tickets for this too in advance.

My partner and I really enjoyed this full day tour. Excellent guide and skilled driver, learnt lots of information about the island and villages passing as well as Tiede and Masca. Take some water, a hat and suncream as it will get hot, even with the open top providing some breeze. All in all, a great value day out, definately got our monies worth.

It was a really cool trip, and the guide had some nice stories. The trip to Masca as everyone wrote is tricky so the driver is very talented to navigate it. Depending on weather the cable car might be closed, but this is no fault of the excursion team, just be aware it might not be possible to go all the way up. The only thing I would change would be max persons to be 18, because the last row of seats can sit theoretically 4, but the seats are so small it’s ridiculous. I would leave one of the seats empty in the last row for comfort of all passengers.

The Cabrio Bus tour to Masca and Mt Teide was very enjoyable. The itinerary for the trip didn't include as many stops as some other trips, so we were able to see Masca and Teide without having to rush too much to get back to the bus. I was glad of our driver Fernando's driving skills, especially on the switchback roads in the Masca Valley; I wouldn't have wanted to be driving it in a hire car! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and gave a good commentary throughout our journey (In three languages). As well as Masca and Teide, the bus stops for a short period at an outlet with food, drink and souvenirs. Unlike the hard sell you sometimes experience in such places you could try food and drink samples with no pressure to buy. The items in the store were of good quality and reasonably priced and the toilets were clean. We chose to do the optional cable car trip up Teide and although this cost an additional 37 Euros per person it was well worth the trip to the top. It is colder and snowy at the top of Teide, so dress accordingly, however it still felt pleasant in the sun. My only criticism of the trip was the long hotel pickup duration. The company offer great flexibility with pickups from all resorts and hotels in the south. We were the first pickup in Golf del Sur at 8am and the last pickup in Costa Adeje was at around 9:30am. As this is our first visit to Tenerife, we viewed to pickup loop as an opportunity to see a number of different resorts and hotels, but I can imagine for some people this part of the journey would detract from the otherwise very enjoyable and well organised trip.
