I had an amazing tour with Dinarte! He was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience both fun and educational. The tour was fully customizable, allowing me to see everything I wanted. Unlike other touristy tours, this one felt genuine and authentic. I highly recommend Dinarte for anyone looking for a personalized and memorable tour experience. Book directly with them if you can.

Having researched many trips on Madeira and having read the reviews we decided this was the trip for us. We were a group of 6, holidaying in Madeira for the first time and really didn't want to hire a car and tbh, I'd not have liked to find my way around by myself. Our guide was Dinarte. He kept us informed and entertained throughout the entire day. He was exceptionally knowledgeable. He asked us to give him ideas of what we wanted to see and he promptly set off to fulfill our wishes. We definitely saw parts of the island we would never have seen but for this tour. Viewing platforms, pretty villages, volcanic rock pools which we swam in, fairy forests, black sandy beach, the old roads. Dinarte provided a very good history lesson all along the route. I would highly recommend this private tour to anyone considering taking a tour. Thanks again Dinarte 😁

We had our tour yesterday with Dinarte which I booked for our 8 year anniversary and it did not fail to impress, we had an amazing day! We were picked up from our hotel at 9 am and received a warm welcome and a overview of our day, not giving too much away as we had arranged the complete mystery tour as we wanted the best experience from the tour possible, who knows it better than the locals after all so no lists, just ready for a complete suprise adventure. The entire day was AMAZING! we saw so many butiful hidden spots, did some crazy roads which were just insane and breathtaking at the the same time with the views. We learnt about the history of the the island, the plants, the poncha, the food you name it, by the end of the day we felt like we had seen the best of everything Madeira has to offer and it did not disappoint. I don't want to give too much away about the places you can see as it's a mystery tour, all I will say is Dinarte is the best tour guide on the island, funny, knowledgeable, he listened to us when chatting in the car and based on our personalities and things we liked and wanted to do he on the spot added in parts to the tour to help complete some of the main things we were looking forward to trying whilst Madeira. Fantastic! I can say with confidence, insideout are leagues ahead of the other tours going on the island. We spent most the day in secluded secret spots and on price crazy fun roads, but did stop in towns for food and coffee. I noticed when we did the other tours stopping for food too, the cars were not as looked after as ours, there were groups crammed into cars with a mix of languages and the drivers had lists of where next, not personal, no adventure just direct to set spots, seemed a bit stressful actuall! No thanks! Seeing the others getting picked up and dropped off from a couple of other tour companies, I couldn't believe people were paying probably more for that when we were on a personal full day tour in a comfy 4x4 with someone who 110per cent cared about us and making the day just perfect to just us. Our day exceeded our expectations and more, and we came away from the day having made a genuine new friend on Dinarte as well. Our tour was enough to make me say with confidence we will a. Def now return to Madeira and b. Def do the tour with insideout again for sure!!! One thing, book direct! Maderia Insideout tailor everything for your day, cost, experience the lot for you, you don't need to book through other sites they will look after you completely and your group from just you to you and your partner or you and your friends won't be in better hands. I have put their card in my pics for their web site for anyone wanting to look into a tour on their hols! So worth it the best way to see Maderia. We can't wait to come back and do another mystery tour, it was such an amazing experience I could do it weekly and still be amazed every time! Started off the day with the “other kind of tour” and quickly realized we needed a new plan to maximize our time on this beautiful island. I reached out and called the most helpful assistant ever, Fatima, and begged her to find me something for the same day. She was beyond patient in all 1,000 of my questions and was able to get me same day tour. Our guide Dinarte was the BEST. Born and bred local who knew all the history, the secret routes, the whys and hows around the island. We saw all of west Madeira with gorgeous views all along the way. Our favorite was sticking our toes in Porto Minoz (too chilly for our liking) but sooooo beautiful!!! Best part in our opinion was because of the later start time, we were able to enjoy a sunset view to end the perfect day.

We were picked up outside our hotel front door just after 8:30am and we were off! You could tell our guide genuinely loved what he did. He gave us a run down of what to expect and promised us that we would see things no other tourist would see (and he was right!) Due to being a "mystery" tour, I don't want to ruin it for those who read this in the future. I can promise you will see a premium selection of the Instagram/tiktok locations, but you will also see things that only locals know of. We were shocked that these places were not packed with other tourist, but this is mainly due to the need for an off-roading vehicle. This being said, you can book a multi-group tour, where you share a vehicle with others. I promise you, the intimate/personalized experience was worth it. If we wanted coffee, we got coffee. If wanted a drink, we got a drink. If we were ready to go, we went. You will not get that in a group experience. That being said, watching the other groups packed to capacity in truck/jeep was not what we ever wanted. They looked miserable, and these tours are ALL day. We stopped for lunch at a traditional Madeiran restaurant and it was absolutely amazing. Haven't had anything that fresh yet. We also stopped at other locally-made locations (it's a mystery!) and got to sample some of what Madeira makes best. Like I've said, it's a mystery and they definitely will incorporate your requests, but trust your guide. They will deliver an amazing trip. Stopping town to town, peak to peak, letting you explore for as little or long as you want. I am sure each trip is unique, so get in and enjoy!

An absolutely incredible experience!! Dinarte is a native Madeiran and knew so much about local culture, cuisine, plants, everything! He tailored our tour based on what we had already done and seen and took us to the most stunning viewpoints. Cannot recommend this tour enough!

I booked this tour wanting to see a couple spots and Spencer went above and beyond for his service. Super funny guy and knows a ton of stuff about the island. Please spend the extra money and book this private tour it’s well worth it. I love how I was able to customize my own tour and got to beat the crowd to many popular destinations like seixal beach and the natural pools.
