I would highly recommend this tour to the Isle of Skye! Ryan is a fantastic tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history, friendly and easy to talk to. He went above and beyond to make sure my family and I saw everything we wanted to. His driving was great on those narrow and twisty roads!

My family was so excited for our tour on the Isle of Skye. We booked with Ryan, who communicated well leading up to the tour. However once we actually got on the tour, it wasn’t anything like it was promoted to be. The entire time Ryan complained about past guests, complained about not being tipped, flirted with every woman he came in touch with, and talked about himself the entire tour. Worse still, he was completely unprofessional (and overtly sexual with the women in our party). And his driving was absolutely awful. Though his proposed itinerary is being able to stop and see so much in Skye, we barely saw anything at all. I would certainly never recommend him to anyone. There are other private tours and I would strongly suggest looking at one of those.

This was a superb tour of the Isle of Skye. Gavin went above and beyond all day to make sure we saw all the beautiful vistas throughout the island. He was a wealth of knowledge and so enjoyable to spend the day with. We can’t imagine anything that would have made this day any more special. We highly recommend Gavin and this tour!

Ryan was a superb guide and an excellent communicator. We could not have imagined a better companion for the day. Most highly recommended!

Gavin was an excellent tour guide and was so accommodating in allowing us time to hike the Old Man of Storr. Ryan was also very responsive and helpful in planning this tour. We highly recommend doing a private tour through Isle of Skye to skip crowds and move at your own pace :) thank you, Gavin!

Gavin took us to Isle of Skye and made the trip so worth it. A beautiful country and he explained everything so well. The history of Scotland Highlands should be told to everyone. He was very friendly and funny as well. We had a blast with him. I learned about his country and he asked my country, which I believe he found very interesting.

We had an amazing time on our tour! Gavin was a fantastic guide--knowledgeable about the area and with great stories to share. He took us to some off-the-beaten path spots around Isle of Skye. Highly recommend this company, best way to see Skye hands down!

Ryan made our trip exceptional, one we will remember forever. He is highly knowledgeable and has many fascinating historical stories and facts to tell you along the way. Ryan perfectly planned the tour; we hardly felt like we were in the van, although we wouldn't mind either way as it was such a comfortable, luxury vehicle filled with snacks and beverages. Ryan knew all the ins and outs of the Highlands and made sure we saw the most breathtaking scenic views, and he gave us plenty of time to enjoy them. Throughout the tour, he would also photograph and capture short clips of us, creating the most epic video we will have to look back on forever! On a more personal note, Ryan is such a welcoming, down-to-earth, funny and enthusiastic individual - I was even sad to say goodbye at the end of the day. Thank you, Ryan, for making our trip so memorable and being such an amazing person. I will most certainly be back again :)

If you want to take a personalized tour of the Highlands, you can’t do better than Sgurr Tours. The proprietor, Ryan Mackenzie-Raymond, is a native Highlander who can customize your trip to match your interests, regardless of whether you want to see all the standard sights or go completely off the beaten track. He is deeply knowledgeable, highly entertaining, and committed to his passengers’ comfort. I cannot recommend Ryan and Sgurr Tours highly enough.
