Once called the "Pearl of France" there has to be a reason to this Last French town before the Italian border... Menton has a unique vibe, strongly Italian influenced, very relaxed, stuck between the mountains and the sea, human sized... Menton is to me one of the hidden gem of our beautiful Riviera... We would spend our morning discovering the town and its charming spots ... Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Dolceacqua

Stop At: 18035 Dolceacqua IM, Italy We will then cross over to Italy and drive along the coast through the city of Ventimiglia and then drive up the valley of the Nervia to another jewel called Dolceaqua. Authentic little Italian village with an incredible charm, feels good to stroll through its shady streets especially in bright summer ... Dolceaqua shelters a famous XVth century bridge, a technical prowess painted by Claude Monet in 1887. We will have a typical Italian lunch there. Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Pass By: Apricale, Apricale, Province of Imperia, Liguria We could then drive up for 10 more minutes just to enjoy the spectacular view overlooking the medieval village of Apricale ... Medieval houses look like there are dripping down from the mountain... Just worth it for a picture stop.

Stop At: Chateau de Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Rue du Chateau, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin France To continue on our off the beaten track feel... We could stop to old village of Roquebrune... has an inimitable charm, it shelters a castle built during the 10th century as well as a very pretty view overlooking Monaco, a 1000 years old olive tree... And an adorable café for those of you who would like a sweet touch before going back ... Duration: 1 hour
