What to expect
Porto do Funchal
Your private tour begins at the Port (On any cruise line), in my UMM (open classic ex-army Portuguese jeep - it has a cover also for all weather conditions), at a time appropriate to your schedule. Get ready to be amazed by panoramic views and explore the heart of nature, while learning all about Madeira's traditions and history. You will have the opportunity of riding in a very relaxed safari-style tour, going to places that you just have to see! We`ll take you off the beaten track, whenever possible, through old roads & off-road, in really remote places, hidden valleys and villages lost in the mountains, so you can see the wild beauty of the island, all done in a very calm safe and relaxed way. Along our route we will stop at all the good photo opportunities, on an exciting open jeep ride, enjoying various experiences, awakening all your senses. At the end of the tour you will want to return and stay longer on my paradise :)
Estádio do Marítimo
We will pass through the narrow and charismatic streets of Funchal. Along the way, we will pass very close to the Barreiros stadium, a local club where we can enjoy a magnificent landscape of the center of Funchal. Stopping in all the good photo opportunities, in a thrilling open top jeep ride, standing up when possible, learning about our island fauna, flora and social life!
Igreja de Sao Martinho
We will cross the Center of Funchal towards the high areas of Funchal, and along the route we will make several stops for photos.
Estreito de Camara de Lobos
We will go to places you never imagined could exist, we will see the REAL MADEIRA, where most people live... We will enter the rugged mountains and valleys of Câmara de Lobos, passing through the wine region of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos. Along the way (ancient paths), up the hill, we will make several stops for photos or explanations, being able to contemplate a fantastic scenery of banana trees or vineyards (this route seems painted in green or bronze). The vines testify to the deep relationship between man and nature, in a communion of hard but beautiful work. Stopping in all the good photo opportunities, always in relaxed atmosphere, far from the beaten track. After we keep going up to Faja das Galinhas viewpoint (700m) with an amazing view, where we will make another stop (15m)

Jardim da Serra
After off-road, we will make a stop at a very local place for a drink, where you can taste a homemade Madeira wine or a Poncha (optional) This town is characterized by a fertile land of cherries. It is the only place on the island where this red fruit exists and that is why every year a festival, which attracts thousands of visitors, is celebrated in his honor.
Levada Norte
After off-road, If the weather permits, we will have the opportunity to walk in a small section of one of the famous levadas of Madeira Island, although not touristy. It will be time for stretching the legs, on one of the many unique water canals of Madeira.
We will find an incredible view (700 meters high) difficult to describe. We will be able to enjoy the view to all Funchal and Fajã das Galinhas (Chickens village)
Cabo Girao
On the road again (After lunch), the next visiting point will the Cabo Girão, Europe’s highest sea cliff, with its 580mts of altitude hanging over the ocean. This is a perfect spot to admire the diversity of the natural beauty of the island. After that, we will descend until finally reaching the blue sea, with the colorful boats typical of Câmara de Lobos, that rest of the fishing. Along the way, we will cross several plantations, where we can see several tropical fruits, mixed with sugar cane, banana trees, etc…

The warning of an unforgettable trip that, at this point, is done through off road trails towards Jardim da Serra (coffee stop), land of cherries and chestnut trees, journey of the senses as the intense perfumes (fragrant mimosa and eucalyptus) of the forest and the utter calmness of the cultivated fields overwhelms us.
