Miguel provided our family a lifetime memory. His trip was fun, educational, and beautiful. Away from the tourist areas he took us to see and experience Madeira as it is by the locals. He took time to explain for our kids and made it engaging for them. A great trip for young and old and the best I can say is that my kids didn’t want it to end and asked if we could go again tomorrow.

I loved this tour and si happy I booked it! Miguel is a fantastic tour guide, extremely knowledgeable and fun. He took us to some amazing spots in Madeira that would have been difficult to access and very non touristic. His Jeep is really cool and felt safe throughout the wholes daytrip. We maximised time properly and managed to see a lot within a few hrs. He’s also taken us to some amazing places to eat and local coffee places high up in the mountains . Don’t hesitate in booking Miguel’s tours. He is simply amazing

We had an amazing day with Miguel! He showed us so much of the local culture, how locals do agriculture, explained about the levadas, exotic fruits, showed us amazing forests, views and places. Also he took us to the most delicious place to drink ponchal and an amazing lunch. I would recommend starting your trip with a tour by Miguel, so you can really get the feeling of how much Madeira really has to offer! It was one of my favourite days there! We will definitely be back to Madeira and definitely will take a tour with Miguel next time we come! Thanks for the best trip ever!!!

The tour was excellent seeing the real Madeira away from the tourist areas. Miguel is great fun answering any questions About anything on the tour. We would recommend any of Miguel’s tours, as this is the third one we have enjoyed.

PABurfield

This is one of the best tours we have experienced in Madeira. Driving to locations that you could not do in a car. Spectacular views along the way and off road sections which were both exhilarating and fun. Miguel was a great driver and a source of information from the local fuana to the best restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend this tour.

A great day with Miguel. His knowledge of the island and its plants is amazing, as is his ability to find tiny roads and footpaths that get you into the heart of rural Madeira. One of the real delights of this trip is to look down on Nun’s Valley, a real tourist hot-spot, from the OTHER side of the valley, well away from tour buses and full car parks, up in the fresh air and eucalyptus trees. You can get cheaper 4x4 tours, but you will struggle to find better. And Miguel has a lovely friendly personality - we first met him over 10 years ago - that you will find your day relaxing, interesting - and give you some fantastic pictures. Can’t recommend him enough.

Miguel showed us some amazing places that we would have missed. The beauty of this tour is that you experience Madeira like a local, off the beaten path, away from the tourist crowds. A super fun day. Thank you Miguel!

A brilliant full day tout. Breathtaking vistas and the excitement of travelling in an open top jeep off road. Party included two eighteen year olds and a seventy four year old and we all ❤️ it.

I really did my homework with choosing our tour guide/experience. We have no regrets. Miguel is extremely thorough, entertaining, knowledgeable, and witty. And at the end, he sent a bunch of pictures that he took, and I didn’t even know he took some of us walking… Just incredible. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful tour, glad we decided to book with Miguel! Excellent communication prior to the tour, super friendly and knowledgeable. Highlights for us we're walking along the levadas and stopping for coffee/poncha in the mountains.
