What to expect
Twelve Apostles
The 12 Apostles is the most famous tourist attraction in Victoria, and is a must see! There were originally 9 limestone rock stacks (there were never 12), some reaching up to 50 metres in height, and the stack which once occupied a prominent position in the foreground collapsed in 2005.
Loch Ard Gorge is named after a ship that was shipwrecked on nearby Mutton Bird Island in 1878. It has a beautiful beach surrounded by steep cliffs, which is a favourite photo location for many visitors.
At Gibson Steps a steep staircase leads down to a beach, where you can enjoy a dramatic view of the sea and the cliffs. Please note that when the sea level is high, the gate is locked and you are not able to access the beach.
Apollo Bay
The southernmost town on the Australian continent is a popular seaside resort town with a beautiful beach and a small harbour. We usually stop for lunch either here or else in Port Campbell, depending on how our customers want to do their tour
Port Campbell is a small resort town which has a beach which is a popular swimming location for locals in the summer. We normally stop for lunch either here or else in Apollo Bay, depending on how our customers want to do their tour
Mait's Rest
At Maits Rest we do a short walk in a grove of ancient Gondwana temperate rainforest. This ancient vegetation once covered Australia during the time of the dinosaurs, when there was a much colder and wetter climate.
London Bridge is a large rock in the sea which has a hole in the middle of it. It was joined to the mainland until 1990, when the bridge section collapsed. Two tourists were on the rock when the bridge collapsed, and had to be rescued by helicopter!
We will be searching for wild Koalas
