Your Itinerary

Positano

Our first stop is Positano, the star of the Amalfi Coast, a destination in recent years of international celebrities, artists and writers who weave praise from all over. In 1953, after visiting, John Steinbeck said: “Positano is deeply moving . It's a dream place that doesn't feel real until you're there and you miss it a lot. ” Today it retains the charm of its houses built on the slopes like a waterfall in the characteristic colors of the sun, peach, pink and terracotta. A picture-postcard street is its steep stairway, framed by gazebos covered with wisteria, where you will find delicious craft shops, elegant restaurants and fashion boutiques. Continuing towards Amalfi, along the coast we find the fishing villages of Praiano, Furore and Conca dei Marini.

Grotta dello Smeraldo (Emerald Grotto)

Gruta da Esmeralda is one of the few caves that can be visited on the Amalfi Coast with its enchanting play of lights and colors. Located in the bay of Conca dei Marini between Amalfi and the small village of white houses, we find the Emerald Grotto, one of the most visited attractions on the Amalfi Coast. Arriving at the site you will find an elevator that will take you to the entrance of the cave to visit it aboard a small boat, the price of the ticket is not included. Discovered in 1932 by local fisherman Luigi Buonocore. It was named after the play of colors from cobalt blue to turquoise and then changing from green to emerald green, due to the sunlight that crosses an underwater furrow that connects it to the open sea.

Amalfi

The beautiful city, which gives its name to the entire coast, is a must for anyone visiting Southern Italy. The Cathedral of St. Andrew the Apostle, in Arab-Sicilian style, rebuilt in Baroque style in 700, features a wonderful staircase and its beautiful cloister will leave you breathless. Amalfi surprises you with its perched houses, pointed towers and the mountain that majestically accompanies us all the way to the sea, creating a magnificent meeting of land and water. Continuing on to Ravello, our last stop, we find, around a cliff, Atrani: a picturesque mix of narrow streets and snow-white arches, through the delightful beach the wind blows around the lively central square.

Ravello

This enchanting town lies in the warmth of a mountain 350 meters above sea level, away from the hustle and bustle that reigns below. Ravello, in fact, is the refined destination of the Amalfi Coast. World famous for the charm of its villas: the gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone that open to breathtaking views. In 1880, Richard Wagner found the inspiration for his opera Parsifal by strolling through the romantic garden of Villa Rufolo, restored in the mid-1800s by the Scotsman Francis Neville Reid. Mr Grimthorpe, British, bought Villa Cimbrone in 1904 and made an extravagant garden with an impressive view. Ravello is home to the most beautiful church on the coast, the Cathedral of Ravello. You'll also find an excellent example of contemporary architecture: the futuristic New Energy Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium, a stunning white concrete and glass structure overlooking the Gulf of Salerno built to reflect the waves.
