What to expect
Vietri sul Mare
The tour starts from Salerno Marina d'Arechi at 10 am in the direction of Vietri S/m. The route is direct and the time taken is about 40 minutes. From the sea you will see the domes of the ceramic churches and two identical rocks called "The Two Brothers" whose legend will be told. Above, the villages of Raito and Albori which dominate the gulf
Cetara
The second village on the Amalfi Coast is Cetara, which can be reached by sailing along the coast between the scent of lemons and the scent of the Mediterranean scrub. The characteristic production of the village of Pescatori and the "Colatura di Alici" a fundamental ingredient of many local dishes. A swim in the splendid waters that are in front of the Spiaggia dei Limoni is foreseen.
Erchie
A small fishing village, with a beach accessible by land and sea, can be seen immediately after the wonderful Saracen Tower recently renovated as a hotel.
Capo d’Orso
Adjacent to Erchie is the promontory known as Capo d'Orso because it looks like a bear, with an old Bourbon penal colony where you can still see the military sentry boxes and the stone quarries where the convicts were forced to dig.
Maiori
Immediately behind Capo d'Orso there is a small inlet with deep waters and a small cave which has a small beach inside. Slowly continue along the coast which becomes high and interspersed with deep inlets where the color of the deeper waters varies from green to deep blue. A large cove hidden between the rocks suddenly appears and it is possible to moor. Next to the left is a large cave where small boats can enter.
Marmorata
The towns of Maiori and Minori are the only ones on the Amalfi Coast to have beaches in front and with a sandy promenade. From the sea you can see the difference in size of the two towns divided by a small promontory. Immediately after the Marmorata waterfall, a small river that plunges into the waters with a waterfall. Next to it is the old paper mill which already produced the famous Amalfi paper in the 16th century.
Atrani
After a path along the coast between ancient villas which almost all have a private access to the sea, we reach Atrani. Atrani is one of the pearls of the Amalfi Coast with the characteristic fishermen's houses built on the beach and dominated by the arches of the connecting road to Amalfi. In winter, the fishermen's wooden boats were stored in small private arsenals where they were caulked and prepared for the following year.
Amalfi
Divided from Atrani by a small promontory with a downhill road, the Port of Amalfi opens up, which is our main destination. Amalfi, one of the four Maritime Republics, is home to an Arsenal where the ancient boats that competed and still compete for supremacy among the four republics are preserved: Amalfi, Pisa, Genoa and Venice. Important and rich in history is the Duomo. The interconnected alleyways and alleyways house small shops. There will be a 90-minute stop in the port to allow disembarkation and a free, unguided visit of the city.
Arechi
Upon returning from the visit to Amalfi, the return to the Marina d'Arechi port is expected, after another stop for a swim and lunch with local products and characteristic sweets of Salerno with tasting of "Limoncello" the characteristic liqueur of the Amalfi Coast. The return by sail, crossing the entire gulf, if the wind and sea conditions allow it, will culminate with the return to the Porto Marina of Arechi traveling only by sail. Note: The remaining time on the tour will be spent commuting between attractions and having free time.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
