Pass through the gaming community of Mesquite, NV adjacent to the Arizona state line and 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, with a population of 20,471. Mesquite is located on the Virgin River and is home to a growing retirement community and several casino resorts and golf courses. The community was settled by Mormon pioneers in 1880 and was called Mesquite Flat. It was named for the mesquite timber near the original town site.

Between mid-October and mid-May, only Zion National Park is visited and you will have approximately 5-hours here.
