Ribeira Brava

We will stop at a View Point where you have a gorgeous view of Ribeira Brava and Campanario and then we will make our way to our next stop using less busy, narrow, and off-roads. The ride will take around 40 minutes.

Ponta Do Sol

(Pass by)

We will drive trough Ponta do Sol and make our way to our next stop using less busy, narrow, and off-roads. The ride will take around 1 hour. We will also introduce you to some interesting facts of the local history and flora-fauna.

Levada do Paul da Serra

We will guide you through the local levada walk with amazing views and then we will make our way to our next stop through Paul da Serra at 1400 meters high, using less busy, narrow, and off roads. The ride will take around 60 minutes.

Porto Moniz

This is where we usually visit one of the local restaurants for lunch. It is also an excellent chance to discover the Natural Swimming Pools of Porto Moniz. You may swim if you wish to do so. And then we will make our way to our next stop using less busy, narrow, and off roads. The ride will take around 15 minutes.

Seixal Natural Pool

We will visit the natural volcanic black sand beach as well as the natural swimming pools in which you may swim if you wish to do so and then we will make our way to our next stop using less busy, narrow, and off roads. The ride will take around 30 minutes.

Sao Vicente

On our travel from Seixal to Sao Vicente we will pass by four gorgeous waterfalls, making a stop at one of them and then we will make our way to your hotel or port. The ride will take around 60 minutes.

Our trip was organized by Victor. It was an amazing experience go through the island by jeep. Victor was a perfect driver and during the trip he provided us with plenty of informations about local life / places and about island-plants. On top of that he helped as to find perfect restaurant (it was even after his working hours) Perfect time :)

I felt exceptionally happy on the Jeep Tour. Ricardo drove us through the mountains with the jeep took us on unimaginable roads. The 4x4 took us to places that I never dreamed I could visit and that a vehicle could fit there or that you could even drive all the way there. Vitor was the best tour guide we could have asked for. He runs a tours company with his brother, so you can guarantee it’s from a local perspective. You get picked up from your accommodation in his jeep which always you to have the best views out on the road. Vitor and his brother are both very friendly and flexible in terms of what you want to see on the island. We went off roading which brought us through the most beautiful landscape, with plenty of time for photos and exploring. There was sufficient time to stop for Lunch and go for a swim in the volcanic pools if you like. My favourite part was stopping off at a local bar and had some coffee, Poncha and cake. Something you would never find without the local knowledge. Vitor gives you lots of brilliant detail and history of the island as you go around, including different plant species and stopping to try fruit. Brilliant value for money and would definitely go on another tour Vitor offers when I return.

I’ve just returned from an amazing few days away with 3 girlfriends in Funchal. We all fell in love with Madeira! Ricardo picked us up outside our hotel at 9am and after a fabulous day on the west coast tour, dropped us back again around 5pm. We would all fully recommend using Ricardo and his brother. As Madeirians they took us to parts of the island a normal bus/tour company wouldn’t/couldn’t, especially the off road parts! Ricardo’s knowledge and love of his home, made us fall in love with it even more. A mid morning stop to try Poncha with a cuppa and homemade cake at a very welcoming cafe up in the mountains was lovely too! 5 stars and a huge thank you to Ricardo for a wonderful day out. We’ll be back for the East Coast tour!!

I went with my 2 teenagers on this full day tour. We had great run and visited beautiful places. Ricardo was a great guide. He told us lots of fun facts about Madeira and brought us to a great place in the mountains with the best cake! I would highly recommend this tour.

Had an amazing day out during our stay in Madeira. Ricardo was so friendly and took us to so many gorgeous places , which we probably wouldn’t have got out to see if we hadn’t booked it. Ricardo was so knowledgeable about everything around him. We also tried some traditional drinks which although they were insanely strong they were so good and traditional food which I wouldn’t have thought to order myself. I would definitly recommend booking !!
