Go Highland tours has taken over recently and Alistair was magnificent! We had an excellent day and even had a chance to see some cows and stop by the Walker's factory. Thank you so much!

Roger was a terrific driver and host. We enjoyed chatting with him in between the visits to several distilleries and a cooperage (really interesting!) Roger’s quick wit kept us entertained along the way and he was kind enough to take photos of us despite the fact that I had forgotten to put on my makeup that day. 😜 Highly recommend this tour!

The tour guide simply did not show up on the day I had booked over a month in advance. My wife and I were looking forward to a great personal tour for our honeymoon. It seemed great at first as were able to customize the tour a bit to our liking, wanting to visit Glenlivet for longer. We paid over £40 for a tour there that we never got to attend. On Sep 14, George confirmed via WhatsApp that my wife and I were booked in for Wed, Oct. 18 for an 8:15am pickup time. After 15, 20, 30, 40 minutes late, I sent 2 texts, and tried calling 3 times to no answer (as shown in my attached screenshot). He simply did not show up. Thankfully no money had been exchanged, as George said I could just pay £250 in cash on the day of. I withdrew that money and set it aside, but of course never got to use it. Ny wife and I assumed something serious had happened. We were upset, but hoping everything was okay. He later read my messages (as shown on WhatsApp via the check mark system, shown in the second photo) and never even responded. Not once. I’m writing this review at 8:20pm on the day of what was supposed to be the tour, with still zero update or explanation from George. My wife and I can now no longer book a backup whisky tour as it is too short notice for all other touring companies. Having to cancel or re-book is one thing. Things happen, and we’d be understanding. But to say absolutely nothing and disappear completely? Shameful. If you’re having a big celebration like a honeymoon, do not rely on this tour. Despite other great reviews, we got screwed and are now unable to find an alternative.

We had a wonderful day with George. He was on time picking us all up (6 of us). We visited 4 different distilleries and toured one of them. He also picked a great spot for us to stop for lunch. Throughout the day he told us lots of history about the different places we passed by. He speckled in a few great stories as well. His van was comfortable with plenty of room, and he was an excellent driver as well.we would highly recommend him to all!

My husband and I got quite into whisky during the pandemic, so once travel became a possibility again, Scotland was calling. While visiting distilleries was one of the top activities on our list, we enjoyed sitting back and taking in the beautiful Scottish countryside as George - our knowledgeable guide - did the driving. We visited Cardhu, Glenfarclas, GlenAllachie, and Tomatin on our tour, which was only us and one other couple. We also took a tour of Speyside Cooperage, which was especially fascinating to see. Overall, a fun day with a great guide, we would definitely recommend this tour!

We had a great day out with George. He had good relationships with the people at all the places we visited. It was obvious how much everyone liked and respected him. That meant we got top notch treatment wherever we went. He also knew the area really well and we truly got an insider’s tour of the countryside. The day was well paced and our tour covered everything from cooperage to single malts to blends, as well as local cuisines (try the Cullen skink!). George had a surprise planned for us, which was fun. George himself is a really nice person and it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. We would definitely take another tour with George.

Loved the local expertise, the humor and the thoughtfulness in putting together the itinerary. The Hairy Cow was great, and George was a very patient and delightful host. Best lunch stop in Scotland.

We worked with George from the beginning when we booked in March for our trip in August and during all communications, George was professional and clear. The trip was Excellent!! George provided my wife an I a private tour of 4 Speyside whisky facilities with an actual facilities tour at Cardhu. Having the chance to work with George and allowing him to guide us based on his vast experience made our trip easy and enjoyable. He provided great stories throughout the drive around the area and even provided stops at some cool locations we would never have found. If you work with George and you stop at Cardhu, you might be lucky to feed Diesel.... We would highly recommend George. Very professional, friendly, and a wealth of knowledge. A true Scot! Thank you George.

We had a great time with George! It turned out to be just my husband and I on our tour so we got a really personalized experience. We got to feed Diesal, a cutie pie Highland coo as a bonus too. George had a couple twists thrown at him unexpectedly (Glenlivet didn’t have enough staff to pour us a dram) and he was able to quickly pivot and get us to a different distillery (Craggenmore) that ended up giving us three really interesting drama, one being on my husbands wanted to try list. Overall a really awesome day that we very much enjoyed.
