I got a message late in the afternoon that our guide was sick and they were moving the tour to Monday night. We had tickets for Mama Mia so we couldn’t go. Very disappointing- but I’m sorry the quire was sick.

We went to the appointed place to meet 15 mins before the meet time and waiting a further 15 mins but no one appeared to take the tour. Thank you Viator for refunding us. We were very disappointed as we were looking forward to this walk.

We have a family policy of each person picking one or 2 activities per vacation and everyone participates (with no whining) in everyone else's thing. This was the very first tour we booked (on day of arrival) and eagerly anticipated by our teen. We showed up 30 mins before scheduled tour time and stayed 30 mins after. Apparently the guide had a family emergency--which we understand happens. Despite the tour company having 4 different cell numbers for us, we never received a call, text or email. The "emergency" contact number was the business office, which was closed--with no option to speak to a person. The only contact we could make was thru a web-chat (during business hours). To Viatour's credit, they cheerfully refunded the tour money when we contacted them--although the company claimed we were no-shows. Luckily, I had saved the web-chat with the sub-contracting company to show that their guide didn't turn up for the tour..

I HAVE SENT MY REVIEW PREVIOUSLY BUT IT DID NOT APPEAR HERE. I went to the appointed place but the tour did not happen. I am now finding it hard to get my refund.

We started in the East of London and we walked through to St Paul's where it finished. Great stories, intriguing. Wear comfy shoes! A different way to see and hear about London that's not on the main tourist path.

We waited 27 mins for our guide was a no show. Messaged the company and have yet to hear a reply or get a refund

First off, I know the ticket said to be there 10 minutes earlier than 7pm (I imagine to do a headcount). Still I got to the meeting place at 6:56pm and no one was there (if there was, I could not recognize them because the ticket did not provide any description of the tour guide for identification). Since I had no internet available, I tried contacting the company by phone to check if the tour had been cancelled (the ticket did mention that would be an option if there weren't enough people), only an automated service with a FAQ option answered. I searched the tube station and the park's surroundings trying to find someone that looked like a guide or like they were touring - nothing. After having waited for 30 minutes and no one showing up, I left. When I got to the hotel I checked my email and nothing - no cancellation warning or anything. Same thing the next day. So, either the tour never happened and they didn't warn anyone, or it left early without waiting for everyone. I've been on tour that waited another 5 minutes past departure for 1 or 2 people, this one may have left 5 minutes earlier without anyone present, if anyone was there at all. It has been 4 days and I can't contact them or gotten any answer on getting my money back from viator. Not trusting this agency again.

Very poor. And very disappointed, the guide was late, there was only two of us on the tour, the guide had very little enthusiasm and spent the entire time on her phone. This was neither scary or exciting and to be honest ruined our weekend as this is what we were looking forward to. We purposely booked our hotel next to the Tower of London as the description states the tour ends there at 9:30, so we thought that would be perfect. The tour finished at 8:45 and not 9:30 as stated, it ended at West Minster Abbey and we never got to the Tower of London! There was also no mention of Jack the Ripper and various others as mentioned in your description. And after googling certain parts that were mentioned it seems she clearly hadnt done her research as she had things mixed up and gave incorrect information. AVOID this tour as you will be as disappointed as we are. Should be done under trade description act. Clearly couldn’t be bothered to do the complete tour leaving us feeling cheated out of money. Will NEVEE use this company again.

Apparently, London is a lot less spooky than I anticipated. Lots of walking, not that much info.
