This was a fantastic, comprehensive day of seeing our most desired locations around Lake Como. Reza was wonderful, accommodating our every request to the best of his ability. We caught the train from Center Station to Verenna, then a ferry to Bellagio. We had a delicious lunch on the water, shopped and went sight-seeing for as long or short as we desired. Bellagio was amazing. Following that, we went on a scenic ferry ride to Como, enjoying so many vistas and views of villas. In Como, we enjoyed a cable car trip to the top of the mountain. The cue lines were very long for the cable car, and unfortunately the haze dampened our view. But overall, we were extremely glad we booked this tour. Reza was so friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Marco was such a perfect guide for me and my 7 year old daughter; attentive, communicative, fun, intelligent and energetic are some adjectives to describe him. He promptly picked us up at our accommodations in Milan and swiftly got us on the correct train and then ferry. He was filled with information even while on the train. We had our backpacks with us, which were quite large and he helped to bring them to our Airbnb in Bellagio first before heading over to Lenno. We had such a fantastic day with him; the eatery and the gelato place he brought us to were stellar. The vistas, landscapes and sites he planned for us to visit were all breathtaking. I cannot say enough about what a wise investment this was for the beginning of our tour of Northern Italy and Southern France. My daughter and I will cherish the moments forever. Hopefully one day we can go truffle hunting with him!

Via this booking you'll be allocated by a company with a "friend" who visited Como 2nd time, knowns no routes, no history, nothing. He would talk about his business ideas, hobbies, life in general and you'd know nothing new about the Como lake.

Marco made this trip delightful. He met me promptly at my hotel and traveled with me from Milano to Varenna. He explained history and politics. He made me feel very comfortable and he was a warm ambassador of his country. The places we visited were simply breathtaking. Despite a rainy afternoon, every aspect of the long day was wonderful. I would not only book this tour again for myself, but I would also do the same for friends, family, and colleagues. I am sure that the sights of Lake Como and its grand villas would be special with most guides, but Marco elevated the experience to heights that I have not found paralleled in more than 59 years of international traveling. Do yourself a favor and reserve this day with him! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. And try to be well rested, as the day was very long...almost 12 hours. But blissful nonetheless!

Lake Como was possibly the highlight of my trip made all the more amazing thanks to my Tour Guide Marco. Marco is born and bred in Milan and incredible at what he does. As with my other City Unscripted Tours, Marco got in touch with me a few days before the tour to check in, let me know what he had planned (checking if I wanted to change anything) and where we were meeting. Right on time, Marco showed up and I saw the value in having him instantly. I walked straight onto the train and just went along for the journey, with Marco having organised everything. Having Marco plan the entire trip was amazing and meant I could really enjoy my time. Marco was on hand with history and stories the whole day, was a fantastic photographer and even was there to help me shop! This tour is a must do and even better with Marco! Highly recommend, especially for solo travellers.

We chose City Unscripted for this day trip from Milan to Como, as we wanted to tick off few things from our bucket list and it turned out to be one perfect trip from beginning till the end - thanks to our guide Marco. We wanted to explore Villa Balbionella where awesome shots in movies like Star-Wars, Casino Royale were taken, and also Indian cinema stars Ranveer+Deepika got married here. We also wanted to check out Bellagio and also had planned a separate Amphibious car tour in Varenna on the same evening. No tour available online could meet all these requirements except this tour by city Unscripted and we are thankful to them. Marco was very knowledgable, punctual, fluent in English and above all he was a great friendly chap to travel with. He was patient, listened to our requirements, helped us with a ton of pictures and the day was so smooth with not a worry in our minds. All 3 of us explored the villa and marveled at its magnificence. Lunch at a nice stop in Bellagio and then the exciting amphibious car tour with Larioland (not in the scope of this review). Marco was with us giving us useful tips throughout and we learned a lot about Como, Milan, and Italy in general. We were a little late to reach Milan as it was a packed day full of exciting things, and Marco with his knowledge from doing Milan food tours pointed out some good eateries in Milan. We eventually ate in a Michelin star Indian cuisine Tara, as suggested by him. It was a great day that we will remember for the rest of our lives and above all we got a new friend in Milan. I did a personal tour and although my tour guide was a nice person, she was not informative at all. She also didn’t buy tickets ahead so had to wait in long queue.
