Lovely scenery and views but guide was bored and boring. And people who cough all day long should be considerate of others and stay at home.

We took this full day tour from Milan via a bus. We met the tour guide at the Milan Tourist Center and after much confusion as to where the bus was to meet us, we boarded and were off for the day. We arrived on the hills above the first of five towns (Cinque Terri translates to Five Lands) and walked down to the shoreline below. Unfortunately my legs gave out half way down the hill. The people on the street were great, they picked me up (I could not do it myself) and one even ran into a bar and 'borrowed' a chair for me to sit and rest. Our tour guide stayed with me for nearly 15-minutes, until I could walk again. My partner walked down the hill, found a pharmacy the sold a cane, and she hiked back to me (We are 79 and 81 respectively) A young gentleman took my arm, and with the help of him and the cane I made it to the bottom of the hill. I thank all that came to my aid, good people. Back to the tour, after seeing the village we took the local train (part of the tour) to the next towns and then we boarded a boat that took to a port where we met the bus to return to Milan. Enjoyed the towns, the train, the boat ride, and the bus ride. BUT.... When we got back to Milan and dropped off at the Tourist Center the guide promptly abandoned us, first telling us that there was a Metro (Subway) strike, and we had to walk several block to get to a taxi stand. Here are now some 35 to 45 people all seeking a way to get back to their hotels, and naturally it was raining. At the taxi stand, we waited and waited, most gave up and disappeared into the darkness of the night, it was now getting very late. We ended up being the only two left and finally a taxi came by and stopped. I feel that the tour company should have had arrangements with the taxi companies to be waiting at the Milan Tourist Center, and that their failure to do so ruined the entire day.

Don’t waste your money. Go by yourself and you can plan a better trip in under 50 euros. The tour guide was useless. He rushed us through each town and didn’t know anything about the history or even the basic stuff like where you can find a toilet. In explaining the arches of Milan he said “these are doors because there was wall once…” I didn’t really need a guide to tell me that. navigating around the towns isn’t that hard even if you were to go by yourself. he was of no help anyway as we entered each town, decided a meeting spot and were left on our own to ‘explore’ in 20 minutes or at best an hour. SO if you book this tour you will basically be paying someone to ruin your trip to cinque terre.

ImWe we’re not satisfied with our trip yo Cinque Terre. First of all, there were 5 people behind us that was coughing endlessly that made us sick with the flu for 2 days. The tour was very rushed. We spent most of the time getting to Cinque Terre. When we got to the destination the first town was rush 1 and the second was only 1 1/2 hours that includes the long toilet line wait. It should have been longer stay so you can appreciate the town more. The audio was very chappy and not clear. This tour was not well guided.

We were a family of siblings & partners, average age 65yrs and we had a ball!! We didn't feel rushed at all and even though there was quite a bit of walking up & down hills (of course!!), our guide made it very comfortable. Wonderful, wonderful day!!

From the moment we were picked up in the clean and comfortable shuttle, to the moment we were dropped off back at our hotel, it was a 5 star experience. Very memorable and worthy trip to take outside Milan.

Visiting the villages. However, we were supposed to be picked at our hotel 6am and6:30am. The bus never showed and we had to scramble to get a taxi to meet at the meeting place on time. We were the last obonones to get on the bus and were separated in different seats. The tour it self was wonderful. However; on the way back, while everyone was resting, the bus driver decided to play the radio on a commercial station with loud music and a discussion between two people in italian. This very rude. We complained at a rest stop and the radio was turned off.
