Known locally as Millionaires Viewpoint this has to be 2 of the most scenic scenes in the Highlands of Scotland. The name originates from the entrepreneur Andrew Carnaigie who's home was once Skibo castle. It is said he would bring all of his visiting friends to this point to show them the views.

Dornoch Cathedral

The name 'Dornoch' is derived from the Gaelic for 'pebbly place', suggesting that the area contained pebbles the size of a fist (dorn) which could therefore be used as weapons.[4] Dornoch has the thirteenth-century Dornoch Cathedral, the Old Town Jail, and the previous Bishop's Palace which is now the well-known hotel, Dornoch Castle and a notable golf course, the Royal Dornoch Golf Club, named the 5th best golf course outside the United States. It is also notable as the last place a witch was burnt in Scotland. Her name was reported as Janet Horne; she was tried and condemned to death in 1727. There is a stone, the Witch's Stone, commemorating her death, inscribed with the year 1722

Loch Fleet National Nature Reserve

Moving on to Loch Fleet to experience a magical blend of wildlife, coastal scenery and pinewoods. ... If the weather and timing is right we should some seals basking on the sands. The reserve is on the east side of A9 in Sutherland, between Dornoch and Golspie. ..

Dunrobin Castle and Gardens

We stop here for entry to Castle, Castle Gardens and Falconry Display. This Castle is one of the oldest inhabited houses in Scotland. The falconry display is awesome and you will be amazed at the display they do for you

Beautiful Castle and garden. Great tour guide. Didn't receive message for later departure time.We were picked up later than expected.

Our cruise ship was 30 minutes late, but Go Highlands waited and sent us on our way in the private van with 5 of us. We were told ahead of time that George would be our guide, but he wasn't, unfortunately. Our guide was ok, but we couldn't hear him in the back seats, and he just didn't seem that interested. First stop was Glenmorangie Distillery, but it wasn't open yet. (You'd think the guide would have known that.) We did get to see the Millionaire's Viewpoint and lots of scenery before reaching Dunrobin Castle. It is an amazing site inside and out. Wandering throughout the castle was informative and each room was full of interesting items. The gardens are spectacular. We ended up back in Dornoch where we were left on our own to explore the cathedral and the small town area. Our guide did offer to stop by Glenmorangie on the way back to the port, but we were running short on time by then and declined. Overall, a good way to spend the time in port to see The Highlands but, to be honest, this particular private tour experience didn't compare as favorably to the many others we've done elsewhere.

Alistair Kennedy was a very personable & knowledgeable guide. Interesting facts about all the places we visited. Plenty of time at Dunrobin castle. We would highly recommend his small group tour!!

Our day with Allistar was outstanding. His knowledge of the region and his desire to deliver a great experience for us prevailed through the 7 hours we were together. The castle and gardens were quite beautiful. The falconry exhibit was a highlight. We were given lunch options and subsequently chose a delightful cafe that served a sumptuous lunch. So glad we took this trip. You will not be disappointed in this company and their services.

It was a nice trip. A visit to an interesting castle and a very pretty village. A bit of Scottish banter along the way. My only gripe is the price £125 each for a coach trip. This may be the going rate but it is still a bit steep.

We loved our tour with George! His stories were the perfect addition to the fabulous sights we visited. Thanks for a great day, George!
