We had the fabulous Alphonso as our tour guide and he definitely lived up to his trip advisor reputation. It was a very long day but absolutely worth it for my family (2 adults, 9, 14 & 14). He took us to Maccas for breakfast, Hoover Dam, Route 66, Seligman to see where Cars the movie was based on and finally onto the Grand Canyon, whilst taking professional quality photos of usnall day. It was absolutely freezing (-3°c) but Alphonso adjusted the trip accordingly to ensure we still enjoyed the Grand Canyon- breathtaking! I highly recommend using this tour company. Well worth spending a bit more for personalised service and receiving beautiful photos by Alphonso.

Had a wonderful day visiting the south rim of the Grand Canyon with our tour guide Alfonso who was knowledgeable and entertaining. While a long day we had multiple stops and were in a comfortable van which made the journey enjoyable. We were collected promptly, provided a McDonald’s breakfast and a delicious sandwich, water and treat for lunch. The south rim was stunning and it was beautiful to see it at sunset. We loved the small tour group (we had 8) size. It was an enjoyable and memorable day and would recommend Grand Adventures and our lovely guide Alfonso.

Grand adventures tour to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon via route 66 Review of Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam Small Group Day Tour Reviewed 2 weeks ago Alfonso made the day very enjoyable and interesting. Loved the wildlife we got close to, the photo opportunities and the falling snow. His knowledgeable commentary as we journeyed along route 66 and through the Hoover dam made this a wonderful long day out. Highly recommend this company and this small group tour.

From the pick up the tour was amazing, it exceeded our expectations, it feels like a family road trip. All the details described in the tour description were more than accurate. They let you choose your McDonalds breakfast. All the way from LV to Grand Canyon Alfonso gives you a detailed facts and history from every place of interest you visit (i learned a lot). Alfonso is the greatest part of the tour, he is an excellent person and a great tour guide/photographer/driver/friend. He show you the hoover dam like no other. Show you the best photo spots for you and he is an absolute expert in taking pictures. I highly recomend this tour. Alfonso also speaks English, spanish and french. This is by far the best tour experience me and my gf had.

Booked the Sunset tour with Grand Adventure Tours and all I can say is that it was worth every dollar we spent – real value for money. Customer service was excellent, from enquiry, booking stage and on the day tour. Darryll was on hand to answer all my queries and reassure me about the tour; payment process was straightforward and communication was responsive. Our tour guide, Chad was very knowledgeable, super chatty and managed to involve everyone in the tour group – even the quiet ones. I booked the tour to celebrate my 40th birthday girls trip to Las Vegas. It was a long day but not too early a start and definitely well worth seeing the sunset. We had enough comfort break stops and enjoyed seeing Hoover Dam, Seligman Town and the Grand Canyon. Credit has to given to Chad who managed the feisty group of 6 women very well in terms of keeping us on time, especially when we were got over excited on Route 66 and with photo opportunities at the Canyon. Chad was able to get the whole tour group involved and stimulate conversation. Chad was verybknowledgeable, reassuring and attentive to those in the tour group who were afraid of heights, including my friend who managed to come near the edge. I would certainly recommend Grand Adventure Tours to anyone who wants to visit Grand Canyon and I would definitely use them again if I am to visit Grand Canyon. Thank you for allowing me to create priceless birthday memories with my friends and ticking off my bucket list.

We had a great trip on the South Rim Sunset Tour. Our tour guide Alfonzo was outstanding!! It was a long trip, but he was so informative it made the trip go by faster and it helped that he made several stops along the way. Alfonzo loves his job and it shows. We were able to get some outstanding photos with his help. Due to it being so cloudy we didn't get to see the sunset, but as we were heading back to the van it began snowing so hard. That certainly made up for not getting to see the sunset. If you're considering making a trip from Vegas I strongly recommend requesting Alfonzo as your guide.

We had a wonderful sun set tour of the Grand Canyon in late November. Our guide was fantastic! Alfonzo knows everything - he has a great attitude and is the type of guide you want to spend your entire day with. I've been on tours with other companies and experienced scary drivers so I really appreciated Alfonzo as a driver - we felt safe the entire time. He pointed out landmarks on the way and told us the history of the area. He has a great sense of humour so there was never a dull moment. The Grand Canyon was wonderful. Alfonzo knew exactly where we should stand to get the best view without a crowd.

I have never left a review on social media but I have to give my first one to this tour because it’s absolutely amazing. Our tour guide Alfonso is a fantastic guide. He is very knowledgeable on everything around area and told us a lot of interesting facts about Hoover Dam, Route 66 and Grand Canyon. 4.5 hour one way is a long drive but we don’t really feel it’s that long because Alfonso made several stops and at each stop we had fun! He also told us the good spots to take pictures and even used his own phone to take a lot of beautiful photos for us! My parents don’t speak English but they enjoyed the tour because Alfonso used translation software on the phone to communicate with them. We really had a great time in this tour! Highly recommend this tour to everyone especially international travelers who don’t want to drive a long way to Grand Canyon. If you join this tour you can just sit back and relax on the way to and back!

My husband and I had the pleasure of going on a sunset tour of the Grand Canyon, towards the end of October, with Alfonso. We were picked up promptly from our hotel (with Alfonso communicating with us whilst he was on his way/updating us on his ETA etc.) and were greeted by Alfonso (who is super friendly!) The mini bus we rode had comfy seats, was spacious and had good air con and heating (try to get the front seats!). We picked up a party of three and two more couples, so there was still plenty of space on the mini bus. Alfonso took the time to learn all our names and where we’re from and he introduced us all to each other. From the start of the trip, Alfonso explained the structure of the day and we were all made aware, straight away, that this would be a long excursion. We stopped at McDonalds - Alfonso encouraged us to pick whatever we wanted for breakfast and he paid for breakfast for us. On the drive to Hoover Dam, Alfonso told us a lot about the history of the area we were driving through, information about the Hoover Dam, historical information about Nevada etc. he is so knowledgeable and it was impressive to hear him recount everything - we certainly learnt a lot! At the Hoover Dam, Alfonso kindly took photos of us all and my husband and I felt we had enough time to look around - we didn’t feel rushed. We then made our way to Route 66. Again, Alfonso gave us lots of really insightful information. Once at Route 66, we stopped at a quirky shop with lots of cool vehicles parked outside and “Route 66” signage. Again, Alfonso gave us plenty of time to look around, he took photos of us and we got time in the shop. So that we could optimise our time at the Grand Canyon, rather than stopping to eat, Alfonso gave us our lunch on the mini bus. My husband and I had turkey sandwiches (I think Alfonso said they were from a fresh deli at Arby’s?) and they were so good! Really tasty and fresh. We also had crisps (chips), grapes and as much bottled water as we wanted. On arriving at the Grand Canyon (GC), Alfonso showed us elk and drove us to a prime spot where we parked the mini bus and set off on our walk. I think, in total, we had over three hours walking around the GC. Alfonso struck up the right balance of letting us go at our own speed, whilst also making sure we frequently regrouped to check we were all there etc. It goes without saying that the GC is stunning everywhere you turn, but Alfonso knew lots of quieter beauty spots that he took us to. Throughout our walk along the GC, Alfonso took lots of photos for us and shared interesting facts and information. Towards the end of the walk, when sun was starting to set, Alfonso made sure we arrived in a timely fashion at a quiet beauty spot. From the viewpoint that Alfonso selected, we had a large, flat, natural platform that gave us a brilliant view of the GC as the sun set. Spectacular! I don’t think anyone was looking forward to a long drive back to the Strip after such a great day, but we didn’t hit any traffic, Alfonso knew the route like the back of his hand, and the journey back “home” didn’t really seem that long at all! On the way too and from the GC, Alfonso stopped at petrol/service stations, so we had frequent opportunities for comfort breaks and to buy snacks. The day was brilliant - easily my husband and I’s favourite day from our whole holiday. The sites we saw were incredible, but the day wouldn’t have been the success it was without the kindness, knowledge and guidance of Alfonso! We thank him very much for his time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a tour with him to anyone else - it was brilliant and made our holiday!
