Fantastic views from the flight north The skywalk is fantastic The helicopter trip is the icing on the cake Really bad turbulence on the flight back but the captain was super calm

Lindsay started the whole show with her excited, bubbly personality and then our airplane pilot, Brandon took the stage as he flew us to the South West Rim, walked us through all of the sights and took us all out to eat. Chris, our helicopter pilot, helped to finish the tour to the bottom of the canyon in an unforgettable round trip flight, landing and tour before getting us safely back to our airplane. We finished with a sweet landing by Brandon back in Scottsdale. We left with 100% satisfaction and highly recommend this tour.

This was an unforgettable experience. Our pilot and guide Hunter was knowledgeable, pleasant and a great photographer! The views of the canyon are exceptional and the boat ride on the Colorado River was a surprise. This excursion was worth every penny and I highly recommend it.

Our family of four did the Adventure Tour - GC West Rim w/Skywalk package through WestWind during spring break in April 2023. While one would expect the the Grand Canyon to be a finely-tuned, well-oiled tourist machine, it definitely is not. While Westwind did their part in getting us safely from Sedona to the Grand Canyon and back - and we loved our pilot Brandon - what they don't emphasize is it that they are are the mercy of the Grand Canyon vendors - in our case Papillon Helicopters and whoever runs the Skywalk. For this cost, some VIP treatment is expected, but there is none. The first stop at the Skywalk and Eagle Point was so crowded that, because of the time limit we had in order to make our 1 pm helicopter ride, we had to choose between eating lunch or standing in the 2-3 hour Skywalk line. Since we had kids, we opted to eat, and still had to wait about 20 min for a table for burgers and chicken sandwiches. Then hopped back on the bus, were told we had to skip the Guano Point stop to make it to our 1 pm helicopter ride. Upon arriving at the Papillon Helicopters terminal, we were told it would be about 45 more min, which they kept telling us. Eventually, we made it on the helicopter at 3 pm, 2 hours past our assigned time that we rushed back for, skipping Guano Point and the Skywalk. The reasoning for the delay was that it was cold and 7 of their 8 helicopters were down for the day because of overnight freezing. Who in their right mind allows a $10M aircraft to freeze overnight? Is there no protocol in place to provide shelter for the $10M helicopters during freezing temperatures? Who is accountable for this? None of these questions were really answered. Once we did get on the helicopter, it was about a 5-min ride to the pontoon boat ride, which was pretty cool, but nowhere in the package description did it say anything about a pontoon boat ride and I would have rather had a longer helicopter ride. When they dropped us off for the pontoon boat ride, the now two functioning helicopters were taking turns dropping groups off, however we still had to wait about 45 min to get picked up after the boat tour was over. Waiting and being stuck somewhere for a ride were the themes of the day. This package is not worth the money. Overall, the GC does not have the infrastructure or processes in place to handle any kind of overwhelming number of spring break or holiday tourists. My hindsight advice would be: figure out a lesser traveled time to visit to GC; arrange your own travel so you're not stuck somewhere at the mercy of someone else; skip the Skywalk - it's little, not worth the wait, and you can't even take your own photos; do more research than I did, especially if traveling with kids; bring your own food; if you really want to do a helicopter tour, do not use Papillon, try the place next door - Maverick's Helicopters. As of this post, I have not received any refunds, but will be calling on Monday morning.

The whole experience was touristy and underwhelming. We had visited the south side of the canyon Years before and found it more inspiring and beautiful. DO NOT waste $ on the Skywalk....you can't take photos and must rely on the site photographers. Disappointed.

Our family did the West Rim tour - it was incredible! We flew with Noah from Phoenix to the West Rim and felt comfortable in his capable hands. Once there, Westwind made arrangements for us to enjoy one of the tours on site: we walked on the glass overhang, had lunch, stopped at an incredible spot with better views, and then flew on a helicopter to Colorado River and took a short boat ride. The views were incredible. I noticed a reviewer below complaining that they were waiting at the bottom in the canyon for a helicopter. We waited, too, as one of the helicopters was getting maintenance. And we enjoyed every breathtaking moment at the bottom of the canyon. It was a once-in-a-lifetime day...and we loved every second!

We were not able to land at the Canyon, but the ride was incredible, as were Lindsay and our fabulous pilot

We had the best day ever. I would highly recommend! We brought our daughter to celebrate her birthday - she was very apprehensive about flying on a small plane and helicopter but loved it and wants to do it again. Everything was well planned and orchestrated. We were taken very good care of. Loved it!

Amazing. We had Nick as our pilot and he was awesome. Can not believe how much we enjoyed this. Everything was just so beautiful I didn’t even want to take pictures because I couldn’t stop looking with my own eyes.

A logistical nightmare. 99% of this tour was sitting around waiting. Once we arrived at the hanger near the canyon, we sat and waited for over 1 hour without any update on what was going on. When we finally made it into the helicopter and Into the canyon, we did a 10 minute boat ride followed by 1 more hour of waiting in the 107 degree heat for the return ride. We were told that maintenance personnel needed our helicopter and therefore there would be a long delay. When we finally got back to the hanger, we stood around for another 45 minutes waiting for the equivalent of a NYC public bus. I’m writing this mid tour, but knowing what I know now I WOULD NOT BOOK THIS TOUR. Terribly frustrating waste of time.
