The pontoon is great. Water was cloudy on the day we went. Cannot see well overall. Staff on pontoon was very helpful. However, Viator did not advise us to bring our own towel.

Amazing experience - do it! Best activity over the course of our 21-day vacation in Australia/New Zealand. They had so many ways to experience the Reef, plus they fed us lunch.

Really great tour. The conditions on the day were rough, so I recommend taking seasick tablets if you get motion sickness. However the crew were so attentive. I cannot fault the effort they put in to ensure everyone was safe and comfortable at all times. Food for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea was great and plenty of it. The only feedback I would provide is for the semi-submersible a microphone would be helpful or alternate walking around front to back as we were in the rear and unfortunately couldn't hear anything.

Tour was well-run and organized. The crew was great, particulalry Brandon, the dive guide. The ride out and back to the platform was on a high speed catamaran which had good amenities and an air conditioned cabin. The water was a little choppy on the way out and a few people got seasick. It was a bit crazy once we docked the boat and got to the platform…the first divers went right out and the people snorkeling were jostling to find stinger suits, fins and snorkels that fit and then they were piling into the water. It seemed like there were about 100 people on the platform on that day. It started to rain on the way out and the water at the platform was pretty choppy, so I opted not to snorkel and instead enjoyed the semi-submersible sub ride (very good with a marine biologist onboard to answer questions), as well as the underwater observatory. Lunch was being served onboard the boat as well during this time. My husband really enjoyed his dive and before we knew it the 3 hrs. at the platform was over and it was time to come back. My husband noted that the process in and out of the water for his dive was a bit of an assembly line, so it felt like they were trying to get through as many divers as possible. I would also say it comes across as a very commercial operation with them trying to sell drinks and expensive photos that were posed for extra fees. But overall it was a nice day and an interesting experience

This tour is way oversold for the amount of space you get a the reef. There is a very restricted area in which to snorkel and with the number of people they’ve allowed it’s very difficult to see anything. The reef was also underwhelming- probably over toured. A few days later we toured Whitehaven with a very small operator and saw healthy, beautiful coral and fish. But my biggest complaint is that these guys NEVER stop trying to sell you add-ons and options, nickel and diming your wallet and patience. Additionally your basically a taxi for people going to different places so it takes forever to get out and back. Go with a small operator

The best activity in the Whitsundays. Great for all ages, fantastic staff, food was beautiful, location was out of this world

An amazing day, staff were attentive and helpful special thanks to Peter for his encouragement and support for a nervous participant. The snorkelling was well monitored with clear guidelines on safety etc. highly recommended

Trip was fun,, Food was standard. We had 5 People who wanted to do 2 dives. We reached out ahead of time and were told “not to worry and we just book onboard.” While onboard we were told they weren’t sure about 2 dives and it would depend On if others wanted 2 dives later. This was stressful since we’re here from the US and it’s difficult to get here.

The boattrip itself including the coffee, tea and food is okay. Also the use of a pontoon is awsome together with the use of all the gear. The crew was very helpfull, clear and alert. What we found very disappointing though was that after a very long journey from Western Europe to Australia the main goal or toppic of our journey was to see the Great Barrier Reef full with hard and soft coloured corals and fishes with snorkeling. As known as the most unique Reef in the world. That is by far not the case unfortunality. The reef there is fully bleached, also not any soft corals we could find. Other very annoying point is that with a full boat of people you have hardly time and space to snorkel without hitting someone with your flippers. Also the repeatatly alarm sound from the watch tower if someone is crossing a line or something feels like you're on a schooltrip. My honest feeling is that people/ tourists in Airlie Beach are getting more or less misled with the idea that the famous Great Barrier Reef is a must see because of the coloured corals and fishes who should be there, just book a trip with one of the providers and you get a great experience. I understand fully that many people in and around Airlie Beach from Airport to Airlie and the Reef are working in the whole commercial system around the Great Barrier Reef. But technically you can say that the big selling point is not available anymore because of climate change and bleaching of the corals. Nevertheless we had a great day with one big disappointment.
