Excellent guide ! Great directions. Knowledgeable. Saw many different kinds of birds, alligators and traversed different terrains.

Unfortunately the trip was canceled….we got a cancellation notification from Jack’s surf Lessons 2 days prior to the event but Viator was sending reminders today about the event as if it was still happening… there should be communication between the two companies. Also I have not gotten a refund from Viator for the cancellation.

Trip was canceled due to no guide for the season. No notice until I reached out with a question. Still waiting on refund of money.

Linda_N

I was notified the day before the trip that it was cancelled as they do not have guides in the off-season. Trips will be unavailable until the end of April. If the trip is not available during a certain timeframe, it should be clearly stated so we could have planned something else. Please update for future guests.

It was canceled part of the company yet I'm told I could have trouble getting a credit because I booked thru viatour... Apparently it's legal to take money for something you can't provide. Very disappointed!!??

Booked same day and was informed two hours before the booking that reservations made within 24 hours will not be honored, so it was canceled via text message from the kayak company.

Our first scheduled kayak trip did not have enough people so it was cancelled. We rescheduled the next evening at the same time. We were notified by text and it went smoothly. The waccamaw river was very nice with native plants. The river was calm. Life jacket was used and although we could use a kayak we opted for a flat paddle board and sat the entire time. The trip lasted about 90 minutes. The guide was Michael and very informative about the area and friendly. One of the persons on the trip couldn’t swim but had no problems. There is some physical requirements but not overwhelming. I’m 60 and not great shape but had no problem with the trip. I would recommend the trip for anyone who likes the outdoors. We saw osprey nests but no wildlife. We heard several birds. I’m not a bird watcher and I imagine they were around but I didn’t notice.

The kayaking trip was just what the doctor ordered! A great way to see wildlife from the water and be active but not too active. Micheal was fantastic in telling us about the area and always offered to take any pictures.
