Fairmont San Francisco
The Fairmont was the place to “see and be seen”. Its impressive Art-Deco supper club, the Venetian Room, was where hotel guests could rub shoulders with celebrities.
Grace Cathedral
The cathedral is famed for its mosaics by Jan Henryk De Rosen, a replica of Ghiberti's Gates of Paradise, two labyrinths, varied stained glass windows, Keith Haring AIDS Chapel altarpiece, and medieval and contemporary furnishings, as well as its forty-four bell carillon, three organs, and choirs.
Cable Car Museum
The cable speed is 9 1/2 MPH according to the museum site. There are currently 40 cars in service: 28 "single-enders" serve the Powell Street routes and 12 "double-enders" serve the California Street route.
