Excellent tour! Maria (aka Mary) was fantastic. Her descriptions, stories and how she points out important pieces were great.

We wanted to see the portico of glory. The electronic listening devices helped us hear. Bit the guide’s English was not very good. We were also trying to make our way through areas crowded with other people

The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is an amazing church to visit. The resting place of St. James the Apostle, and the pilgrimage destination of millions over the centuries. We had a wonderful tour guide who was very knowledgeable in the history, architecture and art of the Cathedral. It is very important to be on a guided tour to get the most from your visit.

I didn’t realise it was 2.5 hours Maria did so well it was a great tour. She was very knowledgeable and we got to see things we wouldn’t have seen on our own

Pilgrims' Mass & views of the Cathedral from Alameda Park were highlights +tour of Cathedral & Hotel Rua Vilar was lovely & 2 mins.stroll to Cathedral. As an Aussie, wish the age & origins of ancient Eucalypts in park were noted. A1 visit tho only for 2 nights.

Maria was our tour guide and was extremely professional. She gave an interesting mix of history, architecture, and religious insights into the cathedral and artefacts. I did think 2 1/2 hours would be too long but it flew by. Excellent value for money. She also gave a hint not to visit the crypt of Saint James in the morning but go later in the afternoon when there are fewer people which I did.
