Steve was was very informative and entertaining! He now sports a beard in order to look nore suitably nautical. It was a blowy day but we all learnt lots about the history of the historic town. We even learnt how many of the expressions that we use in our everyday speech were invented by Charles Dickens, who was one of the notable residents of Portsmouth. The experience is highly recommended! Julian

A group of friends booked to do this trip as a private tour recently. The day turned out to be a very windy Sunday. We were a group of more mature ages and we travelled down from Central London just to do the walk. It was worth the effort. We The walk was amazing. The guide definitely knew his history of Portsmouth and made it interesting and comical without losing the true history of events. I knew nothing but the basics on the history of Portsmouth and was amazed in how much has happened in Portsmouth over the years. I thoroughly recommend this walk. Old and young willbe capitivated.

Steve kindly hosted a tour for our local history society, we believed that living locally, we knew most of the history. How wrong we were! Steve gave us a couple of hours of highly interesting and fun facts about the history and people of Portsmouth. The whole group thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we all learnt something new. We also had a lot of fun through Steve’s humorous stories and delivered in a very relaxed and easy to understand way. I strongly recommend Steve and his tour for anyone visiting historic Portsmouth
