Very friendly guides. Unfortunately we were popped on a local bus and public train at the end of the tour. Long and noisy way to end the day! Lots of money for mostly public transport and group tour of castle.

We loved the tour! It was but well organized and informative. I wish the would be a little bit more time to roam around though.

Castle is truly beautiful. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day. Expensive tour but they got us there and back in half a day.

Was a last minute booking so a it was more expensive than other tours. This was our only chance to get a tour and we really enjoyed it. Was worth the extra money to not miss out. Would recommend.

Overall good experience. Friendly person to organize travel. Castle was beautiful. You take a train and then get moved to a van. Sitting in third row wasn’t that pleasant and couldn’t see anything out the windows. Other than that, the experience was very good.

logistics were a bit off . The castle is partly under renovation. The “guide “ was an audio system. Very expensive for what we got.

Transportation was easy despite a train strike, our guide made alternate plans and kept the trip less stressful for all

I was a little worried to do this as I had read bad reviews but we decided to do it last minute and this was only option to get a ticket. It started well with someone meeting us on time at Munich train station. We took the train and got in a van for the rest of the drive. The drive definitely added to the experience. There was beautiful foliage and views of the Alps. It was beautiful. We got to the castle and had more than enough time to do the walk up, and do Mary’s Bridge before our tour time. The tour was quick but enjoyable. We then took pictures on the balcony, got a snack, watched the movie, saw the old kitchen and descended by foot. We had time to walk to the lake and take pictures of more lovely foliage. The trip turned south when our driver did not meet us at 11:55 which was time that was stated. After 30 minutes and hearing nothing, we called 2 taxis. We knew we had missed the train but there were more trains leaving. Just as the taxis pulled up, the driver came and apologized and said he had lost his phone. He ended up driving us to a station closer to Munich and catching the same train. I guess all is well that ends well but there was some stressful moments that shouldn’t have happened. I also had to pay for 3 people as a minimum to do this. I understand the van part but why am I being charged for trains and tickets that they didn’t have to buy? In a way I would recommend it because the drive part totally added to the enjoyable experience but I’d be worried about the reliability.

So many things not explained in the description. It is NOT a private tour. It is a public ticket where you listen to a device while going through a small portion of the castle with 30 people. The tour itself is only 30 mins long! The views are amazing and the interiors we did see were stunning, but actually very small considering the size of the castle. The logistics of getting there were confusing. We were told to meet on a train platform. We were unsure exactly where to go and the guide wasn’t there until 4 mins before the meet time. Then you take a train, then a van to the base of the castle — long trip. Then you either walk 30 mins uphill or pay to take a bus or to take a horse carriage. That was not explained anywhere and why isn’t that included? .Then when we were done, our driver was nowhere to be found. Was 30 mins late so we had called a taxi as thought we’d been abandoned there. That meant we missed the train so he drove to a different station to get us back. Very unprofessional and not what we expected from a Viator tour. I can’t recommend this tour as logistics are not reliable and the tour itself was ridiculously short.

Lahdo was great, took care of everything with trains and driving and gave us a history of the area. Would definitely book again!
