New in 2023! Experience Alaska on the original roads and routes aka its rivers and lakes. This tour transverses one of the most sublime landscapes and panoramic views in all of Southcentral Alsaka and the Mat Su Valley. You will find salmon swimming under your paddle craft as they migrate to their spawning grounds. Also, expect to see ducks and eagles fly overhead and maybe even find a moose standing in the water eating a meal. This tour starts by paddling across Jim Lake and then a short overland portage into Jim Creek. Finally, exit on the beach of the Knik River that flows from the Knik Glacier, and while there get some pictures with the glacier in the background. The Knik Glacier is the headwaters of the Knik River and is the largest glacier in Southcentral Alaska. After this brief pause to take some photos, and view the scenery, we will continue our paddle down the Kink River to our exit point of the old Knik River Bridge.

Had a very pleasant morning kayaking with Derek as our guide. Saw several moose including a cow with 2 calves, lots of ducks and birds. Beautiful mountain and glacier views.

We were a group of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) that had a wonderful time on this kayak tour. We took the 3:30 1/2 day tour and the weather and the views were just perfect. We particularly enjoyed the variation in waters that we went through from the initial lake to a fresh water river to a glacially fed river. Great introduction to kayaking for our crew. Thank you Paddle Sports by True North AK!

Had a great half day trip kayaking with a friend. Derrick was a great guide! Thanks for a great adventure! Definitely recommend.

This tour company is a fraud. They had no waivers signed, no safety measures. Asked the infant to sit by herself for 4 hours or 5 people on the same kayak. It was a dirty creek and not a river where they were operating from. No tour office or no others people for the tour. It was the tour operator and his family at the place. Super dirty car pick up. Altogether a nightmare. So, we ended up not doing the tour and asked him to drop us back to the meeting point. It is a fake and fraudulent tour.

Had a great time kayaking. Derreck was friendly, engaging, and attentive to us and knows a lot about the area. We saw a moose and enjoyed the calmness, while kayaking. Highly recommended.

Found the guide to be knowledgeable and very safety conscious. Everything was provided for the trip and given plenty of instruction regarding the half-day paddle activity and instruction on appropriate dress. As a group, it was a fun day. Not being from Alaska, I got to see parts up-close I had only seen on the map. Great Day!
