What to expect
Loch Katrine
Our 28-mile bike tour will follow the banks of Loch Katrine on a virtually traffic-free private road to the tiny village of Stronachlacher, where we will stop for lunch at a cafe or picnic (not included), before returning by the same route. Your guide will incorporate stops along the way to share local folklore and legends, spot flora and fauna, pass on tales of historical figures, visit ancient graveyards and film locations, and explain feats of Victorian engineering. Some Scottish treats are available to try.
Stronachlachar
Stronachlacher is a delightful and isolated village on the banks of Loch Katrine, where there is an optional stop for lunch at the Pier Cafe, located in the historical waiting room for the Steamship Sir Walter Scott.
Loch Lomond
An optional extra 10-mile leg of the tour can be added for very fit cyclists who complete the first part of the tour quickly. The route down to Loch Lomond is VERY STEEP!
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
