Visit the most western crater os the island of Sao Miguel. We will take the small dirt track around the rim of the crater to see one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal. Hear the fable about the princess tears. Why are the lakes blue and green? We will take you there to get the most spectacular views that the island has to offer. Have you ever had coffee inside a crater?. We make a comfort stop inside the crater and give time to visit the village, see the church of Sao Nicolau or simply have a drink and relax.

The day of this tour started out overcast and a bit drizzly which didn’t bode well for seeing the two lakes at the top of the crater. However you learn quickly on Sao Miguel that can change quickly so off we went! We set off in what could be described as an antique “jeep” - don’t get me wrong it was fully functioning - but this vehicle was made for the off road experience and that’s exactly what we got. Our guide made a point of taking more scenic routes, one that a typical rental car would not fair well on (even if you could find them in a map!). For me this enhanced the experience immensely bumps and all. Everyone knows that the quality, knowledge and experience of a guide can make or break a tour. Our guide for the half day was Eduardo Pereira. His knowledge of the island, from the history, the flora and fauna to the best restaurants depending on what you are hungry for (fish, steak and Pizza!) was amazing. More importantly his passion for the island, and joy he gets in sharing it with his guests is easily felt. Ultimately nature was not on our side this day for the views because of the low cloud cover, but for me that in no way diminished my overall experience. Eduardo showed us so many sights and shared more details on all that we saw that it more than made up for any lack of views. Thank you Greenzone Tours and Eduardo for a great experience.

We hired two jeeps for a group of 10 people. One of the guides drove really bad and we got afraid of riding with him. We split the group between the other jeep and a rented car. The company didn't apologise nor refunded what we paid for the jeep...

I enjoyed the view, and the tour guide was so kind and helpful. he let us into the insides of the culture of the island. Honestly they are super nice and gentle. Pro tip: be nice to the guide, and the length of the trip went from 3 hours to 4+, and we were so grateful for it.

An amazing trip with magnificent views. Our guide Ricardo spoke very good English and had a real passion for his island and its beauty. Even though it rained and it was foggy in some parts, Ricardo made this trip an unforgettable experience. Would love to come back here and take this tour in April or May to see the flowers in bloom but even now with rain and fog, the tour was excellent.

This was our third and best activity while in the Azores. Traveling in a Land Rover and taking in the views of the Sete Cidades was fantastic and it was made even better by having a great guide! Daniel was a source of information, humor, and has great people skills. While we enjoyed the full day island tour and the food tour of Porta Delgada, completing our tour with a visit to the Sete Cidades was definitely the highlight and made even better by a great guide. I would recommend booking with Daniel highly.

This was a very nice tour you start out the morning whale watching ,we saw many whales and dolphins on our tour. After that you have lunch then you are free to spend time at the inlet . The tour guides were very nice and I had a great time.
