What to expect

Ginjal

After meeting at Cacilhas Boat Terminal, we will walk along Ginjal Quay and will learn about the glourious old times as an industrial fishing spot and contemplate its ever-changing graffiti walls.

Jardim do Rio

We pass by Jardim do Rio (don't worry, we will come back later on to enjoy the sunset!) and go up the cliff to reach Almada Velha, with views of Lisbon & Tagus river.

Jardim do Castelo

At Jardim do Castelo we will get to see part of the wall that surrounds the castle (that doesn't exists enymore), we will learn about the endless wars between the moors and the Portuguese and we wil get to see an amazing view from a lookout.

Casa da Cerca

Casa da Cerca is a Contemporary Art Centre where you will get to see exhibitions and also go for a walk arouns its botanical garden with astonishing views of Lisbon and Tagus River.

Sanctuary of Christ the King-Portugal

After a strolll around the narrow streets of Almada Velha, we reach Christ The King Statue, right next to 25 April Bridge. You can go all the way up to the statue (at your own expenses) ou just enjoy the panoramic views of Lisbon and surroundings.

Quinta da Arealva

We will walk around Christ The King Statue into the bush, ending up at Quinta da Arealva, a whole abandoned block in ruins, full of graffiti. where we will explore the area.

Jardim do Rio

We will finish our loop arriving at Jardim do Rio, a great patch of green where you can sit, chill and enjoy the sunset by Tagus River.
