We arrived by train from Lyon, which is very convenient because the facility is right across the street from the train station. There was confusion at reception about our reservation made through TripAdvisor - they didn't seem to know how to handle it but eventually figured it out. The museum itself is spread through around a dozen buildings, each with its own theme. The tour is self-guided, and passage through some of the buildings is limited by the timing of the multimedia presentations. Some of them are interesting and informative, but most of the video presentations were kind of weird (senseless and hokey graphics, and mostly uninformative). Displays about vineyard pest management and old manual implements and about the various terroirs of Beaujolais were the best. The multimedia presentation in a wing of the train station on the supposed meeting of Napoleon III and Queen Victoria in Romaneche-Thorin was downright bizarre - hard to describe, so you'll just have to experience and judge for yourself. The wine tasting at the end of the self-guided tour was generous, and the shop is large with many wine-related items and wines from other areas as well, and prices seemed reasonable. We found the nearby Museum of Compagnonage to be much more interesting and beautifully curated - don't miss it if you're in the town (it's about a 15 minute walk from Hameau Duboeuf).

Superb experience, great information, friendly team ,a must in beaujolais. From the start to the end everything was top notch balancing beautiful artifact and latest visual effect and 3 D animation , great knowledge on wine from scratch and touching every aspect of it even with a wine tasting at the end . Restaurant was very good too , good value for money .

Exceeded our expectations not only was it knowledgeable but was an experience using 3D and movement senses. Got there at 10 am left at 5 pm. Full day there great value for money. Restaurant attached was superb. Good choice of food on the a la carte menu as well as fixed price menu . plus good selection of Beaujolais wines. Anthony the maitre d'hotel was excellent. Made us up a table even though restaurant was full. Good service too by fabienne. Precilla in ticket office was extremely helpful being the only non French people there she was very caring to make

Exceptional! I congratulate and thank Mr Duboeuf for allowing visitors to benefit from his love for his wine, the shows are all of incredible quality, here, we don't make fun of the customer! And what a joy to hear the real story of Noah's ark, the sound of the bells, Napoleon's wagon, the real people of the country... well done Mr Duboeuf your park is a marvel for families, the staff are so adorable we are welcomed us really kindly despite our 4 very small children. We will come back next year and give you as much publicity as possible in Switzerland :)!

A great experience for a very reasonable price, dynamic entertainment, welcoming staff. The museum, the botanical garden, the little train, the imperial hotel, everything was perfect.

A great activity to do, a great investment to be highlighted throughout the course, a tasting is done following the presentation. A store will end your visit. (Prepare your wallet!)

Magnificent establishment dedicated to the history of wine and vines. The route, easy to follow, takes us through various exhibitions on the stages of wine production and associated tools (more than 3000 objects) before arriving at 3 rooms where films on Beaujolais are shown. Before arriving at the tasting of local wines, a final "dynamic" animation allows you to fly over the Beaujolais vineyards in the company of charming bees...After lunch, a small train takes us to visit the modern winemaking center and its gardens. On the way back, the last visit is the Imperial station and its 2 rooms with light and captivating shows. Plan the day to tour the Hamlet, a day that will remain unforgettable. A must-see.

15 years after a last visit, what a pleasure to see this place again where everything is done to discover (or re-discover) the saga of wine. The 2 most notable rooms are the dynamic cinema (CinƩ Up) and the tasting room, but all the discoveries via classic museum rooms or interactive shows make the visit interesting for young and old.
