our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very personable - he shared lots of information and we had a really enjoyable time

There was 4 of us in our party and we all enjoyed the tour but agreed that Arthur firstly waffles a bit and secondly had no concept of time! We had to leave before the tour really finished (we missed the last pub) which was a shame. To be honest it wasn’t really a haunted pub tour but we did visit some interesting place in the backstreets of London and Arthur was very knowledgeable and loved his subject.

Book this! Arthur is an exceptional storyteller and a wealth of unique information. This is time and money well spent!! My family and I had a blast and learned a ton.

What a fantastic and informative afternoon. Arthur has a vast knowledge of the local history and area having been brought up around there. Even though I’ve worked in Charterhouse square I wasn’t aware of the rich history and terrible deeds going on. We explore some dark narrow 500 year old streets. Discovered pubs that have ghosts, look like they did 100’s of years ago and learnt so many historic facts about the area. Apart from the pubs the jewel in the crown is Bartholomew church which is out of the world and mostly hidden from view. Arther was a fantastic host, full of stories and easy to get along to the point we ended up sharing a drink for way past the tour time. 100% worth the money for the personal tour and knowledge

I wholeheartedly recommend this tour for anyone intrigued by the obscure and haunted history of London. Arthur guided us to a lesser-explored part of the city that we hadn't discovered on our own, providing us with a unique and fascinating experience. His depth of knowledge was impressive, and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the tour. Exploring the enchanting historic pubs was a particular highlight for us!

Arthur is very knowledgeable and well traveled, and such a nice and easy going person to talk to. My friend and I had to leave to catch a train, and we were very sorry to do so, because we could have easily stayed talking to him all night. We are definitely looking forward to going on one of his other tours the next time we are in London, which will probably be much sooner than later.

I lived in London for half a decade and clearly wasn't paying enough attention because we saw loads of things I'd never realised were there on this tour! Had a great time, Arthur was a top guide, super friendly and fun as well as informative.

What a fantastic tour! Arthur (whose Edwardian gent exterior masks a piratey outlook) has a fab knowledge of pubs and we also got a lot of drinks with our history and spooky stories. We also got some great restaurant recommendations for the next day of our stay!

Arthur is a fantastic guide and we had a great time hearing the stories of the excellent hostelries he had chosen

Arthur knows London like the back of his hand, and he showed me places with amazing (occasionally ghastly) bits of history I'd never have known otherwise!
