We took a private walking tour of historic Charleston with Kay Abrams. She was excellent. So passionate and knowledgeable about Charleston history. Kay was well prepared, answered our many questions, and gave us lots of extra time. We would highly recommend her. Well worth your time. It was a wonderful and interesting morning.

We booked Kay for a 2 hour walking tour around Charleston and had a fantastic time. Kay was really interesting - sharing many facts and stories we hadn’t heard before, incredibly knowledgeable on the history side, and quickly picked up on our interests quickly. She also walked at our pace, which was greatly appreciated! Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful tour of downtown Savannah with Kay. I found Kate to be very knowledgeable, informative, and fun to be with. She was a great guide! Would definitely recommend this tour. I love that she kept it small, only 10 in our group so everyone could hear her, and we weren’t waiting for everyone to catch up.

We had a wonderful private walking tour with Kay- as we wandered the streets of Charleston she brought the history and architecture to life. Her enthusiasm and knowledge was palpable- it felt like we were walking with a good friend. Highly recommend for anyone visiting, even if you’ve been before!

Walking with Steve is a joy. Its like being with a friend that loves their city, knows everyone and is eager to share their finds. Steve gives a good overview of the historic district and then dips in and out of the places that look interesting or are open on that day. This was my third tour with Steve and some of the previous highlights have been the City Hall Chambers, a church grave yard and the secret alleys. This time it was a visit to the Huguenot Church. In short, its not a "canned" tour. Its a living breathing fun ride with an enthusiastic guide.

Steve was a wealth of knowledge and coupled with such a pleasant demeanor made our afternoon tour with him super enjoyable. Highly recommend Steve’s tour for locals wanting to learn more about your city or those visiting to learn about Charleston’s past and the sites downtown. Thanks Steve.

Kay Abrams was the best guide I have ever had - and I have been on A LOT of tours and met A LOT of guides! To be honest, I'm a tough audience. I usually bow out of group tours early. NOT SO with Kay! 90 minutes went by in the snap of a finger! Kay is enthusiastic without being "too much." She brings history to LIFE. Kay is able to read the group and know when it's time to stay and go more in depth and when it's time to move on. Kay is a master storyteller who made me fall in LOVE with Charleston. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I loved my experience so much that this is the first time I have ever left a Trip Advisor review. I am so excited to go back to Charleston and continue walking with Kay!

We have enjoyed historical city tours, but they pale in comparison to our brilliant one with Kay Abrams. She was bar none the historian extraordinaire who captured the essence of all that “was and is” Charleston. Kay enthralled us with her energetic demeanor, her entertaining quips and anecdotes, and her phenominal recall for 350 years of Charleston history. On the tour Kay shared the fascinating and factual significance of the 8 founding lords with their “get rich” plans; the increase of the new city’s footprint, slave labor, religious tolerance, and famous and infamous events. Thanks to her we could see how all the pieces fit together to birth this “Holy City.” Furthermore, Kay offered colorful, yet truthful depections of past everyday life among the “higher and lower “strata of Charleston’s culture. Some people created havoc, while others created unique customs and a budding mecca for art, music, and culinary delights. Lastly, Kay enchanted us with her extensive knowledge of the beautiful architectural designs of residential homes and churches, the stunning flowering plants of secret gardens and the constant challenge of “Mother Nature” to take it all back. Treat yourself today and take her tour! Cindy and Joanne
