Very interesting tour. Carla was an excellent guide; she was very knowledgeable and very nice! You could tell she was just as interested in the tour as we were.

This tour is precisely as advertised. We wanted a small group tour of Leesburg focused on its history, and we got it. Carla was extremely well-informed and entertained with little tidbits of lore as well as the provable history. Since almost all the buildings of interest are in private hands, there is no going-inside in Leesburg. She hits a dozen significant buildings, and they are fortunately within blocks of each other in downtown Leesburg. Wear good walking shoes and have your water bottle if appropriate. We were there on a Sunday and the parking in the downtown garage was ample and free. Don't miss visiting the Loudoun County Museum that is right by the garage (and that Carla highlights as you walk). Carla's website has online booking that works.

Had a great time on our walking tour. Just what we wanted - history, architecture, and little known facts. And a lunch recommendation that was fantastic. Our guide, Carla ?, owns the business and leads these private tours 3-4 times a week. How lucky were we! It was about 80 minutes of walking on mostly brick side walks, and mostly flat. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Leesburg!

Carla, the owner/operatore of Historic Leesburg Walking Tours was simply great. We enjoyed our tour with her just last week. She is very knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. We have traveled the country and world and will usually take in a walking tour with most places we visit. For some reason we never thought of doing so in our own backyard. We are glad we finally did. You will not be disappointed with Carla or her fabulous historic tour of downtown Leesburg, VA. .............Patrick Arnone

This tour was a great experience, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Leesburg, whether for their first time or their tenth. The monument and historic buildings are well preserved, and having Carla point out their architectural details and the stories behind them was time well spent. Loved it!

I have been to Leesburg so many times, I live 15 minutes from it but I have never seen the buildings and history that Carla provided. I recommend this tour to all my out of town guests and for locals! Great tour, knowledgeable tour guide.

My dad and I had a wonderful tour experience with Carla. She has so much passion for the history and architecture of Leesburg and pointed out so many amazing details that I'd never heard before. It was a great tour, even on a rainy cold March day. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, visitors or VA residents, who would like to learn more about the interesting history of Leesburg!

Carla was wonderful with my mom. It was cold, but she took her time to walk my 80 year old mom’s pace and give our family a wonderful depth of history. I had no idea Leesburg was steeped in so much history. If you are looking for an educational family event, I highly recommend Carla’s tour:)

We really enjoyed Carla’s walking tour of Leesburg. It’s amazing how many historic events (Revolutionary War, Civil War) took place in the few blocks we walked. Also really enjoyed the architectural information. It’s lovely that so many old historic buildings are very well cared for and restored. You’ll see many cute restaurants and bars on the tour- we enjoyed lunch at Shoe’s Cup & Cork afterward. The pace is an easy walk and the duration was exactly as stated, an hour and 20 mins. Easy to fit in to our schedule on a weekend visit. Thank you, Carla!
