Arrived to Holyrood distillery after a short walk from the centre of Edinburgh. Nicely greeted by a few members of the staff and offered a drink in the bar while waiting for the tour to start. Dougal was a great host for the tour, very knowledgable and approachable for any questions I had. I learnt a lot about how both Gin & Whiskey are made in general as well as in the Holyrood distillery itself and what made it unique. I would recommend a visit here to anyone wanting to learn more about Whiskey & Gin while visiting Edinburgh.

Gin tour was so much fun. I would recommend this tour to any gin lovers. They also do a whisky tour. Dougall was a fabulous host!

Did the whiskey tour with my family and had a wonderful time! None of us are particularly big whiskey drinkers (more into gin or wine) but we still had such a lovely time! Dougal was our guide and they were so knowledgeable and excited when people asked questions. Didn’t feel pressured into buying anything (although we did!). Definitely recommend, a great way to spend an afternoon.

Absolutely loved listening to the passionate and enthusiastic guide who led our tour of this whiskey distillery. Can’t say I’m now a fan of whiskey (I think I still prefer gin!) but loved listening to all the information about how it is made, plus tasting various different ones!

I would skip this place if you are really interested in a good whiskey experience. I didn't enjoy the whiskey to far deviated in their expressions from traditional whiskey. Staff member was not knowledgeable and could not answer even basics about the whiskeys. Trying to be to experimental. Physical environment was pretty average as well.

The whole family found the tour very interesting and informative. Really good to see a distillery back in the centre of Edinburgh. Bryce was really friendly and engaging. Very interesting seeing what they are doing with spirits.

Excellent tour, pitched just right for the level and amount of information, well paced through the different areas of the distillery. All the drinks we tried were great, and well explained. Very impressed! The bar was great too
