Founded in 543 this monument to the past has expanded and grown but much still remains from the year 1,000. See how it has changed and grown through the ages.

57 Rue Galande

Julia Child was not the first celebrity chef. Marie-Antoine CarĂªme was the celebrity chef of his time and it is his invention that we taste here. Enjoy the view of the passersby while dining on this delicious pastry.

Debauve et Gallais

Taste the best chocolate of your life! The Chocolatier of the Kings, a 210 year-old chocolate shop. The shop we are visiting in rue de Saint Peres opened in 1837 and it was beautifully decorated by the architects Percier and Fontaine.

This was the late night eating spot in the post war years Julia Child lived in Paris. Among the frequent guests to this establishment were Pablo Picasso and Ernest Hemingway and of course Julia.

Brasserie Le Bourbon

Around the corner from the home of Julia and Paul child this was a frequent lunch spot for Paul when he was a bureaucrat working for the American Government. You will enjoy a wine and cheese paring.

81 Rue de l'Université

The Parisian home of Julia and Paul Child, where the cookbook was being written, the classes given and where Julia learned the art and science of the French Cuisine and her passion flourished.

Cour du Commerce Saint Andre

What you'll see along this pedestrian-only walkway is an enchanting glimpse of how Paris looked before Emperor Napoleon III, nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte, ordered Baron Haussmann in 1852 to modernize the city.
