Roberta gave us an excellent tour of Civitavecchia. Right from the pickup point, she explained the historical importance of Civitavecchia and showed us hidden places. I wanted to take a tour of Civitavecchia as, from the cruiseship, we did not want the long bus ride into Rome where we have been before. As I wrote, Roberta put this forgotten town into historical context. A very good alternative to the long bus ride into Rome.

The tour covered what we were expecting and more. Roberta discussed the First Century economy which necessitated a port. She led us through historic locations of commerce and residence. Why rating four out of five? We showed up at the meeting location ten minutes early. The guide arrived 30 minutes late.

While in Civitavecchia, we signed up for a 3-hour walking tour of the city that included stops for cappuccino and a light meal at the end of the tour. Our guide Roberta was a pure delight; she was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about everything that we saw and showed us parts of the city we would have never discovered on our own. It was money well spent and we recommend Incitur and their guide Roberta highly. Thank you, Roberta for all you taught us today. Richard and Twila Calgary, Alberta Canada Oct 2023

Roberta was the best guide! She was knowledgeable, personable and very friendly. She was very passionate about living in Civitavecchia, and was enthusiastic about sharing the history of the area with the tour group. The time flew by so quickly, and was sad when the tour ended because Roberta was such a delight!

Roberta was superb! She gave a lot of historical detail which made the tour very educational and fun!

We made the mistake of not taking the shuttle bus from the ship, and as a consequence got thoroughly lost. However, the staff phoned us and came to our rescue. We cannot thank them enough for going out of their way to make our experience unique . They went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable and personal. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Anna was very nice. The walking tour was a little too much for us. It was not completed due to lack of time but we did enjoy it.

Jodi_S

Anna was a fabulous guide. Informative, able to answer all questions but not overly verbose. The tour route was well thought out and covered many interesting focal points in Civitavecchia. The pickup at the cruise port was easy also. Very nice option!
