    Nick worked really hard to find us a clear spot for viewing the Aurora. There was a lot of activity the night we went but there was also a lot of cloud cover. He drove all over to a bunch of possible spots, talked to his colleagues, had already researched before we left, etc. He then got word about a clear spot, and off we went. We saw some activity, took pictures, etc. and were back in the vans when he told us he expected the show to pick up again. We got back out and had the show of a lifetime. Aurora from one end of the sky to the other, arching overhead, bursting directly above us, dancing. To me this showed how valuable it was to have a knowledgeable guide. He could make sense of the data in a way that we couldn't and knew that we should stick around. He was also very patient with us and took a lot of photos. The other staff that were there were friendly and instructive and shared our enthusiasm for the lights. We are so glad we paid to have expert guides.

    Worth every penny! This was the highlight of our Alaska trip. They took us to a great location and luckily the weather cooperated and we had an amazing view of the aurora even early in aurora season. Don’t miss out!

    These guys really go out of their way to be sure you are comfortable and get to see the aurora. Highly recommend! The deer sausages were really fun to cook over an open fire too.

    Felix Pedro Monument

    Gold, Gold, Gold! Alaska is known for oil and gold. Our guides are familiar with gold panning and the man who first discovered gold in July 1902, starting the Fairbanks Gold Rush. This monument is one of many treasures we are happy to share whenever possible with guests. Please remember we go where the clear skies are and not all guests have the same locations to visit. If you want to learn about Alaskan History, ask our wonderful guides who are happy to share both personal and historical facts and stories.

    Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point

    Here at Aurora in Alaska we go to the best cloud free location each night. One of our favorites stops along the way is the awe-inspiring and historical Alyeska Pipeline. Whenever possible our guides happily share our Alaskan history with oil and take guests up close and personal to the pipeline.
