Camara De Lobos

The town of Camara de Lobos is the most famous fishing town on the island. its sea bay is one of the most beautiful with its colorful fishing boats and typical fish restaurants and of course the local bars make a special drink called poncha, local medicine.

Faja Do Rancho Beach

From this cliff we have a fantastic view of the sea and terraces with plantations of banana and vegetable

Cabo Girao

The highest sea cliff in Europe with 580 meters from sea level, has a glass platform from where we can see all the colors of volcanic rock and the sea with an impressive blue color.

Ponta Do Sol

From Ponta do Sol Village. We are going up with the Jeep to the Cliffs, from where we can see the banana Terraces, and see how people lives and works the land, we are going from the sea level up to the mountains with 1418 meter high on Paul da Serra

Pico Ruivo do Paul da Serra

Paul da Serra It's the plateau of Madeira Island . It was formed in the last volcanic eruption.

Rabacal

We have an amazing view to the valley of Rabaçal, and we can see the start of the famous walk to the 25 fountains.

Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools

From the edge of the mountain we can see the impressive view to the Village of Porto Moniz and Natural Pools, we stop for lunch and to swim in the natural pools.

The natural pools of Vila do Seixal are more beautiful and more extreme, amazing view to cliffs and mountains.

We visit the volcanic beach of Vila do Seixal with black sand one of the most beautiful beaches on the island view to the waterfalls and cliffs and mountains with vineyard terraces, you must see this places.

Sao Vicente

Fantastic view to the mountains and to the waterfall , We have to stop for a picture.

Serra de Agua

Our last stop is at Serra de Água in a in a typical bar where you can taste a local drink (Poncha)

My review is my rating on my personal experience. The tour is amazing and really worth doing to see the island. BUT! I was in the back of the 4x4 with seats facing inwards so I could not see outside (I could have been in the trunk/boot). In the back we could not hear the guide/driver. One of the people on the tour said she gets carsick and took the front seat for the 8 hours (she played the poor me). The people in the middle refused to switch/rotate seats. We were stuck in the back on little seats and no view outside. So my experience was disappointing but I do recommend the tour but do some research on vehicle seating. Make sure seating is good.

The experience was as advertised. However, it was a very different experience as it relates to comfort if sitting in back of Land Rover as we were. Lack of grab bars in back and I’ll fitting seat belts added to the discomfort. I still recommend the experience but would highly suggest not being in the back if possible. The driver was excellent and the sights inspiring. Just a long day to be cramped in back of a truck.

A great way to fill a whole day and get to see lots of the island. We stopped at some lovely views and had fun & thrills going off road. Picked up and dropped off right outside our hotel which was super convenient Driver was friendly & knowledgeable.

It was a great way to see the island. We really did off road, so this is not for the faint of heart. Also recommend sitting towards the front as it was difficult to hear the informative guide towards the back. A day full of fun!
