Galatina

The wonderful Basilica of Saint Catherine of Alexandria is second only to the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi for the presence of many frescoes inside, which were created by Giotto's disciples. Other monuments to visit are the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, and the ancient "courtyard houses" and the buildings situated in the historic centre.

Otranto

Otranto, one of the most beautiful coastal villages in Salento. The town of Otranto is full of history, and every corner highlights the passage of different civilizations, including the Romans, the Byzantines, the Ottomans and the Aragoneses. You will have free time to visit the splendid Cathedral, the Church of Saint Peter in perfect Byzantium style, the Castle, the Towers, the mighty Pelasgi Bastions and the Walls that surrounded the whole of the ancient city.

Gallipoli

Gallipoli, considered the pearl of the Ionian Sea. This Greek city can be divided into two areas: the new village, where the tourist facilities and modern buildings arise, and the old city. The old part of the city is located on a limestone island connected to the mainland by a 17th century bridge. You will have free time at disposal to explore the historic center characterized by a labyrinthine weave of narrow streets, home to traditional shops of local handicrafts, numerous impressive Baroque churches and aristocratic palazzi. Stephano was warm and engaging. His tour was filled with informative nuggets that can only come from someone who grew up in Puglia. The tour was well planned and executed with ample time for breaks and photo opportunities.

Stefano created a very enjoyable day out for us, showing us some important and beautiful places outside of Lecce / in the Apulia area. I felt safe being driven around by him in his large people carrier car. He is also a nice person and gave some interesting facts along the way. I plan to return to Gallipoli, as it was so beautiful. The stop for lunch at Leuca was lovely too. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Stefano again, and he is driving us to and from the airport as well!

I booked this last minute and so happy that i did. The website wouldn't let me book for one but i directly contacted the tour agency and spoke with Stefano and he happily obliged to let me join. He was a good and knowledgeable tour guide. I learned a lot of the history of Salento. Recommend this tour.

This was a great tour to do in Lecce. Stefano was so knowledgeable about the town and gave us so much information that we would not get on our own. He even picked us up and dropped us at our hotel. We never would have been able to do the 4 towns on our own in one day, maybe one or two. But Stefano spaced it out well and even gave us enough time to explore on our own in each town. He drove very safely, and we never felt nervous the whole trip. My son and I had a great time and enjoyed this tour, and very happy we did it. Totally worth the price. Stefano was very polite, respectful and spoke good English with a lot of interesting information. I highly recommend this tour.
