Falls of Shin

The Falls of Shin are a natural wonder in the Scottish Highlands, where the River Shin cascades over a series of rocky ledges, creating a spectacular sight and sound. The falls are located near the villages of Bonar Bridge and Lairg, in an area of ancient woodland and diverse wildlife. The falls are also famous for being one of the best places in Scotland to watch Atlantic salmon leaping upstream during their spawning season, which runs from May to September.
