Monte Brasil is located in Angra do Heroísmo, on the south coast of Terceira Island, in the Azores. It comprises a caldera surrounded by four peaks: Pico das Cruzinhas, Pico do Facho, Pico da Quebrada (where the whale watch is located) and Pico do Zimbreiro.

Praia da Vitoria

Praia Vitória is the name of the second largest city on the island of Terceira, rich in heritage and culture, we will pass by the views of the volcanic sand beach and the empire of charity. Free time will be given about 1 hour for lunch.

Biscoitos

A mandatory stop at the natural pools of Biscoitos, one of the best landscapes you will see on Terceira Island. Pure and crystalline waters in the midst of volcanic rock.

Serreta

Here we will make a stop at Mata da Serreta, a more secret place with incredible natural beauty! Vegetation, leisure area and connection with nature.

Queijo Vaquinha

Visit to the first cheese factory on Terceira Island, we have a cheese tasting and the opportunity to purchase regional products of the highest quality.

Sao Mateus Da Calheta

The sites we visited were amazing. And the tour was so well organized. Amelia is an outstanding tour guide. She is highly knowledgeable and a great communicator. She was very pleasant to deal with. She provided us with lots of additional information about life on the island, history, and even the science behind the natural phenomena (all this in addition to regular tour guide information that one would expect to receive). She went the extra mile to accommodate our needs and requests. The pickup at the hotel was very easy (unlike some other tours we took during this trip, we did not have to wait even: she was already waiting for us at the hotel lobby when we came down). Amelia is a great and safe driver. It is not easy to drive in the Azores (I have first-hand experience, I rented a car for several days), but her driving was excellent. We liked the tour so much, that we booked another great tour from them for the next day (to the amazing cave inside the volcano). Both tours were competitively priced. In sum, the tours of the Azores nature Tours are highly recommended, and we would suggest asking for Amelia, if possible.

Great day out with our guide Amelia, who was very enthusiastic about her island and sharing her knowledge with us. It was an ideal way to start our stay on Terceira - a good way to orient ourselves and have a good overview of the island and various activities. Amelia was really friendly and helpful!

Everything about the full day van tour went very well. Pick up and drop off were easy. We had an excellent Tour Guide and driver, Amelia, who is very informative, loves her island and made the tour a lot of fun! Cows crossing were cool as well! Highly recommended!

Azores Nature Tours and Amelia....thank you so much for a very special day! The Full Day Island Van Tour is definitely the way to see Terceira Island. So many highlights...the views from Monte Brasil are incredible and Serra do Cume was breathtaking....it really looks like a patchwork quilt! But the highlight of this tour was Biscoitos--the natural lava swimming pools. Incredible and obviously loved my many because it was Sunday and full of families having fun, eating, swimming and enjoying this spectacular Natures paradise. This island tour in combination with our wonderful guide Amalia delivered us the best day we could ask for. She radiates so much love for the island and taught us a lot of history and fun facts. The vibes were immaculate and we enjoyed it to the last second. She gave us always the right amount of time to explore and take pictures. We got a private tour because we were the only ones who booked the tour that day and she gave us her all. Truly a wonderful experience. One of best tours which I had! I had a “private” tour on 25-th of December, cos I was the only tourist on Christmas day! Amélia is a really friendly guide, she told me lots of history about Terceira, unfortunately I’m not that so interested in history, but it’s also nice to know some basic history about the island, and she took a lot of pictures for me, which I could choose for instagram!!! I really recommend this tour around coast with Amelia:)
