Fishermen Village beautiful bay with their picturesque and very distinctive boats. The former British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, painted this exceptional portrait when he visited the island on 8th January 1950.

Ribeira Brava

Beautiful valley on the southwestern coast of the islan. Its main economic activity is agriculture; from the cultivation of land comes sweet potatoes, beans, vegetables, some cereal, fruit and wine.

we passed through Ponta do Sol to start an off-road to Paul On this route we will cross the eucalyptus forest At the end of this path we will have a fantastic view and we will stop to take pictures and enjoy the silence of our mountains

Porto Moniz, the biggest attracction is for sure the natural swimming pools, formed and molded by vulcanic rocks, where you can have a unique swimming experience and memories to bring home. At this point of the trip you will also have an optional lunch break to have a little taste of the local gastronomy and a spare time to take a little walk around.

Agua D´alto is one of many waterfalls of the area, where we will make a brief stop to contemplate his simplicity and natural beauty and also to see the astounding view around to São Vicente and Ponta Delgada.

Seixal

The northwestern coast is so wild and so beautiful but this village has the particularity of having a black sand beach an attraction not to be missed. Looking at the mountains you can see the waterfalls a landscape richness difficult to describe in words

Cabo Girao

Cabo Girão is known and famous by its glass platform on top of a 580 meters high seacliff, being capable of showing you breathtaking and remarkable views of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.

Had the best day of our trip with Edgar taking us around the north-west of the island. His love and knowledge of Madeira was infectious and made us feel so comfortable at all times. I couldn’t recommend taking this tour enough and can’t wait to come back to the island so Edgar can show us the east too!

We had a truly memorable tour of the west of Madeira with Edgar yesterday, we would give this tour more than 5 stars if this was possible. Edgar collected us in the morning promptly in a pristine, clean and very comfortable discovery. The tour was very personal and designed to give us the best experience of the island, avoiding the crowds and showing us places that the average tour wouldn’t be able to go to. Edgar was very knowledgeable and keen to show us and tell us about his beautiful island that he is quite rightly proud of. He was also very attentive to us, making sure we were happy and enjoying the experience. The whole tour felt very personal and was excellent from start to finish. Madeira is beautiful and Edgar’s tour excellent.

Most amazing day! Edgar was an excellent guide and made it such a memorable day!! Very knowledgeable about the island. He was very accommodating and offered to let us stay at locations longer if we wanted to. Definitely recommend this to anyone travelling to Madeira. We would not have been able to see some of these parts of the island on our own.

This was booked as a private tour and we where only the two of us (wow!!!). Edgar is one of the best tour guides I ever met on Madeira and in the rest of the world. He is dedicated, shares his broad Knowledge of the history and present of the island, its inhabitants and the wildlife. He is a very good driver and has always had option at hand, when we where re-planing the day trip or parts of it. The tour is one of the top most interesting and has many wonderful spots and overwhelming sights. Edgar knows on where to be first and ahead of most of the other tour operated tourist expeditions. We will for sure come back for more, Edgar!!!!

We hired Edgar for a private excursion to explore the island without the crowds. Edgar's luxuruius 4x4 Landrover was spacious and comfortable for the 4 of us, his driving and navigational skills brought us to many hidden places. He has an extense knowledge of the islands history, plant live and people. It was an exciting, entertaining and interesting experience. Edgar adjusted the trip to our wishes, stopped for great foto opportunities and added places we did not even know existed. He is our #1 choice for any trip around the island.

We ( me and my 14yo son) had our best day in Madeira island with Edgar during our private tour to Porto Moniz. Very knowledgeable about the history and curiosities of each spot and a great driver! We would have never got to those spots without him driving through the back roads with us. The super extra mile was when he drove us back to the skywalk by the end o of the day because it was very cloudy the morning when we had been there. Highly recommended!

Just got back from our trip with Edgar and could not recommend enough! We thought about hiring a car but learned so much and could never have navigated some of the scary roads. The car was awesome and comfortable through all of the twists and turns. He tailored the trip to give us more time swimming and at the beach and every stop and view was magical! I would definitely say this is the best way to see as much of the island as you can with a base in fuchal. Would do it again and would recommend to anyone!

I hired them to take to the best photographic places on the island. Edgar did a great job, knew the island well, and was fun ! I got some great Shots he knew just where to go. He was very knowledgeable about the island,its history and the botanicals. Loved all his information. I would hire him again on my return. This island is magical!
