Sliding Jail

We will visit the famous sliding jail on this tour. In the 1930s, dynamite explosions from copper miners caused Jerome's small jail to slide off its foundation 225 feet into the middle of one of the town's main streets.

Jerome Historical Society Mine Museum

The Museum and Gift Shop were opened in the early 1950s. With displays depicting the timeline of Jerome’s past to its present, items such as old miners equipment to remains of gambling in saloons can be seen within the Museum.
