I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! You get phenomenal views of Waimea canyon, we even saw some cute mountain goats! There’s a few lovely stops on the way with enough time to have a quick look at a local art gallery or two, little shops and cafes, along with the small attractions the guide pointed out. Rosario is a fantastic, welcoming, funny and informative guide! The coffee stop towards the end is perfect timing as I started getting a little tired but pepped right up with the brewberry flavour coffee paired with the blueberry scone!

The driver was excellent. The tour started out great. The ride and stops at various locations were great. Lunch at Chicken in a Barrel was excellent! Food tasted great. However the return a bit disappointing. The stop at Koke’ State Park for the 60 minutes was wasted time. The nature trail was less than 5 minute walk. No stop at Kekaha beach park. The final stop at the Kaua’i Coffee Co. was also disappointing.

Our tour guide, Lucky, was really wonderful. He was able to share the history of the islands, and really made it come to life with his personal background and experiences. The views of the Canyon, absolutely spectacular. A great way to spend the day and get a fairly comprehensive view of this end of Kauai.

We almost cancelled this, and I wish we would have. We had not been to Kauai before so we thought it might be helpful to do a tour. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and by Thursday we knew our way around for the most part. Our tour was on Friday and we knew that the weather was going to be iffy that day, so on Thursday we took off and drove up the canyon. The weather that day wasn't a whole lot better and we could not see anything at the top of the canyon. We did stop at many of the pull offs on the way up and took some nice pictures. On Friday, we were picked up on time and because of the projected weather, our driver decided to flip the itinerary which we did appreciate, unfortunately, it didn't help. We still could see the canyon, which is not anyones fault. As I'm looking back on the itinerary, I see that we did not do several of the things listes. Didn't see the Russian Fort, nor KoKe'e State Park. I'm not even sure what Pu'u Hina Hina is, but I'm pretty sure that got skipped as well. We did have a nice lunch at Chicken in a Barrel. After lunch you could walk out to a beach, so I guess that was Kekaha Beach? Not sure. We stopped at Kauai Coffee, which was not really anything. Yes, you could sample the coffee, but there wasn't any kind of tour that told you about it. I guess it was more of a "self guided" thing. I saw a sign amongst the trees and read about the size and number of trees. My honest opinion is save your money. The island is very easy to drive. Trust yourself and go explore... it will be more enjoyable!
