The Overseas Highway
This world-famous roadway is an adventure in itself, the Overseas Highway connects all the islands: Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, the Middle Keys and the Lower Keys. And of course, Key West - the grand finale. Not to mention the countless uninhabited islands set amid the turquoise waters.
Duval Street
Key West's main street is unmissable and full of life, offering a plethora of places for lunch and numerous bars; it is also known for its art galleries and colorful colonial architecture.
The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum
Key West's most famous home, its illustrious (former) owner is celebrated throughout the Keys, but especially in Key West. One of the first houses built in Key West, the famous author lived there from 1931 to 1940 and wrote a large portion of his works while in residence at the vast mansion. He also ended his days there. This visit is a journey to the heart of the author's genius.
Smathers Beach
There is no shortage of heavenly beaches in Key West. With their turquoise waters, they are the equal of any of the Caribbean beaches further south. Smathers Beach and Higgs Beach are perfect places to cool off.
Key West Museum of Art & History at the Custom House
Key West is home to many interesting museums, most of them located on Duval Street. The Key West Museum of Art & History is a small museum highlighting Key West's history, art and architecture.
