Really disappointed. The science museum was very dull, several areas closed and lots of the interactive exhibits not working. Building beautiful but should have just admired it from the outside and headed back to Valencia old town which is stunning

This complex placed Valencia on the map. With such an amazing vision from Calatrava, the structures evoke emotion and imagination. I highly recommend the tour by Enrique, who is not only proud of his city but accurate on the facts, with humor. I am very proud he is learning to speak Mandarin and after the tour, we performed tone vocalization for proper pronunciations. Keep up the good work!

Our guide, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and considerate of his clients. I learned alot more than my first time visiting alone the first time. I appreciated his approach giving much information about the background to this marvelous project. the architect and the environment which it has created in this part of Valencia. I am sure it has had a very positive impact, in spite of the original cost. He helped us see things we might not have noticed on our own. Many thanks to our wonderful guide. Just make sure we get the precise location for the meeting point, right next to Corte Ingles and also calling my mexico number is not very useful to him. When in Spain we get a different # in the sim card! Your emails are more useful to some of us seniors!

Although we didn't go inside, these modern buildings are an amazing sight. Included are a science museum, planetarium, IMAX theater, performing arts center, and the largest aquarium in Europe.

If you only have time for two things to do in Valencia, this and the Cathedral are a must. The Salvatore Calatrava is a magnificent example of modern architecture. One night we even went to the Opera House for a performance. When there you should also go to the Aquarium…it’s one of the best in Europe.

Terrific explanation of each building and how they all fit together. He shared insights and opinions which made the tour complete.

We visited on our cruise itinerary and had a fabulous time. The modern architecture was amazing and gave us some great photos for the album. Definitely recommend pre-booking for the aquarium - we didn’t and didn’t have the time to wait in the queues although it was a Spanish holiday weekend and this probably contributed to how busy it was.

The buildings have dramatic design and are photogenic. But the urban design is stqrk and unwelcoming and as a result no one hangs around, especially on a sunny day when there is no shade. There are also no cafes. There are events that happen in these modern buildings. There was a rock concert when we were there. Lots of little girls in Barbie outfits.

The complex covers 2 KM, and consists of 6 separate buildings: Science Museum, arts centre (opera, arts. etc), Oceanogràfic etc... you can choose which you visit or purchase a combined ticket. I would highly recommend the Oceanogràfic - amazing because its so varied and has so many species to view - dolphins, belugas, walruses, sea lions, seals, penguins, sharks, crocodiles, fish and different marine environments. Also there's a exhibition taking place in the dolphinarium, normally I don't really enjoy this form of entertainment but the dolphins appear to have such a wonderful, positive relationship with the trainers... Its a real pleasure for dolphin lovers... Allow minimum 2-3 hours for Oceanogràfic. Its worth noting that you can visit and walk around the complex free of charge, this is a real treat in itself as the architecture is amazing, surreal, and beautiful ... I would suggest that you allow a full day to really enjoy the City of Arts and Science. It can be assessed by foot or bike (designated paths) through the 'Turia Park/gardens. The park is one of the largest urban parks in Spain. It runs through the city along nine kilometres of green space boasting foot paths, leisure and sports areas, and romantic spots where you can unwind. its a definite must do to any visitor to Valencia. Alternatively you can use public transport - Bus: 13, 15, 25, 35, 95, 99.
