What to expect
Blackwell - The Arts & Crafts house
You will have full access to this Historic Arts and Crafts style house and Gardens designed by Baillie Scott. With coffee shop and gift shop this is a fabulous attraction.
Kendal Museum
The gallery includes Social History and Archaeology: from a case dedicated to Alfred Wainwright, to Ancient Egyptian artefacts and antique Victorian and Georgian items. Highlighting conservation issues this gallery offers an exciting introduction to a variety of animals, birds and insects and their natural environments around the World. Geology has also been a main part of the museum collection from its inception in 1796 as a commercial venture by local collector William Todhunter.
Quaker Tapestry Museum
Journey through the Quaker influence on the modern world: explore the industrial revolution, developments in science and medicine, astronomy, the abolition of slavery, social reform, and ecology; and delight in the detail of the stunning needlework and the craftsmanship involved in its creation.
Windermere Jetty Museum
A brand new museum opening in 2019 after over 10 years and £10 million of investment this incredible attraction has saved the boating history of Windermere and presents all of the incredible vessels in an amazing building. Boat trips, cafe and more to enjoy from the shores of Windermere.
